If your having trouble with the river I suggest building your own bridge for them to walk on.

ahhh gotcha, I didn't know they could actually jump the river, that's awesome. If this workshop item is still usable after the actual game releases, I'll fix that. Thanks for letting me know

between the river and the panes. They jumped over the river and then they don't jump back.

weird, have you tried placing it away from paths? as a test try placing it by itself away from anything

every time I try to place it, it just says terrain modification failed.
