Hey, I love the designs you make.
While I was building this in survival for the first time, I noticed the version my projector built(or what i pasted in creative), is different than the version the repair projector loads. 2 programmable blocks, 4 armour pieces, and 2 lcd's. I think the repair projector has the modern version of the BP, because it has Programmable blocks that you've mentioned in the description, but the steam version doesn't have any programmable blocks. The version I print/paste is the latest version on the workshop, after deleting my local files and verifying space engineers via steam.
The 2 LCD's that are missing can't be built because there are other LCDs in the same block positions. The 2 programmable blocks can't be built because blast door inverted are in the same spot.

i would recomend making an official interplanetary transport miner, i added a few drills to this and it works quite well just has some conveyor issues

Connect a large grid welder to your base and carefully rub the ship against it from different angles. The large welder should cover enough radius to reach the missing block

hello i ve built the skuld in my survival but my projrctor keep telling me the there is a missing reactor , but i can't find it. Someone can help me?

Hey there.
When stuff is attached to an existing build via a moving part, like a piston, rotor or hinge, you create a new grid. By vanilla, projectors cannot manage multiple grids and refer to the largest one as the main object.
The Skuld has no such thing, however, the wheels it uses as landing struts count as "subgrids" as well. But in that case you can just ignore the message.

when it says multiple grids arent supported only the largest will be used... does that mean the ship wont have something important on it? was just gonna print this on my server and got that message just wondering a bit new at the game still

Hey @Scotia_lad,
common issue with the engines, as far as I know. Usually turning them off and on again fixes the issue for me. If not, check the hydrogen tanks, maybe turn stockpile on and off.

Really like the design but I am having issues getting it to work in Survival mode. The hydrogen engines are on but don't respond to any control input. They look like they begin to for as split second but then go back to idol. In creative mode there is no such issue.

Any help would be appreciated

please excuse my late response. The scripts on this vessel were outdated and caused issues. I've taken them out of the blueprint to avoid future compatibility and set up Toolbar 5 with Thurst overrides as CC instead. The ship should perform as intended again now.

The inertia dampeners dont work and the thrusters are turning on and off.

Ok I rebuild it second time and now it actually works (excluding the program blocks). Apparently I missed at one of the pipes when I was doing it the 1st time.

Check the mods, check the piping, check the tanks if they are set to stockpile.

I reloaded the save in creative mode and the hydrogen engine ignites right away online, but when in survival mode won't turn on.

Just build this ship in survival and the ships Hydrogen thrusters won't turn on, I've deleted the programming blocks too so I have no clue how to get this ship into space.

@T1mae: Die SKULD fliegt auch ohne Uran, allerdings wird der Operationsbereich stark eingeschränkt, weshalb du deine Flüge gut durchplanen solltest. Nutze ggf. die Hydro-Motoren mit, aber achte auf deinen Treibstoffverbrauch.
Heftige Manöver, bei denen Schubdüsen in mehrere Richtungen belastet werden, können zudem zu starker Energieauslastung und folglich kurzzeitigem Leistungsverlust führen. Beachte dies vor allem bei niedriger Flughöhe, da das Schiff unter diesen Bedingungen durchaus mal ein paar Meter absacken kann.

Mal so ganz dumm gefragt...

Sind die Reaktoren zwingend notwendig oder schafft der Kahn auch auf Batteriebetrieb ne volle Beladung??

Find sämtliche Designs mega nur Uran ist halt so ne schwierige Sache :D

@harley_cin: I'll take a look at it once I'm back home. In the meantime, I suggest you keep the script deactivated or delete it entirely from the ship. Select all thrusters from the control menu, set the override-slider to 0 and deactivate all thrusters. You can restart them via the toolbar. The ship should handle like normal now.

do you have scriptless version of this vessel? i have manage to go to space and turn off the Simple cruise control. but the dampeners is not working. i have to press backward to slow down and stop

I tried to build this vessel on survival. And i also cannot control the ship. It just move on its own almost crash. I suspect the programable block, then i turn it off. The last thing is it shutoff its own. Pressing Y twice it turned on, try to lift and it falls, landing gear lock and shutdown again. Weird..

Yeah, I know... was hoping this was just a bug with the scaling and keen would fix this soon. But I guess it stays, so I have to update this and several other blueprints to fix the LCDs.

Select scripts but after removing the scripts to see if that was it it wasn't but I did get rid of the parachutes and it seems to be sorted I was confused to see they were under armour blocks

Does your server allow scripts? Try updating the cruise control script or deactivate it.

I just made a new one on our ship printer and made it to 36000m up and it started pulling forward again parachutes are still closed it's a weird one

This behavior sound like something that happens with the parachutes deployed. Have you checked them? Maybe they're bugged. Removing them might help.

I don't know what is wrong with this ship but the one I made in a survival server wouldn't fly right just kept doing flips then I was trying to go forward till I completely lost control and it crashed

A admin spawned a new one in space it worked for re-entry but again th same problem has developed leading to it getting destroyed by a npc as I couldn't control the ship to get away

Its uncontrollable what could be causing this as I really like it and it fit the propose well I needed a small freighter for ferry bits from earth to a space base

Any help would be appreciated

@Taidyr. My bad ! I forgot to charge the batteries that Atom thrusters use ! Not a prob, i can can harvest ice, turn bottle auto-refill off for O2/H2 Regen, turn Stockpile On for Hydro tanks ( which i should shut off when tanks full ). Very cool game, almost everthing you can build has different systems which you need to manage. Thxs for your prompt response Taidyr ! The SKULD LAF is a very cool and modular blueprint. 😀

Hey @novoscorp,

The ship should be able to move forward normaly. Does this occur only with the atmospheric thrusters or with hydrogen as well? Does the ship drift on it's own when tilting it far enough in a specifc direction or is there no movement at all?

Please check the atmospheric thrusters individually in the control menu and make sure that those which are providing forward thrust are actually turned on. If this doesn't do the trick please contact me again.

I'm new to the game. played a month in creative mode so i could learn the game a bit. I'm starting out in survival. I like the Skuld Light Freighter. I tested it in Survival using creatvie mode on ( Alt- F10 ). I tried using only Atmo thrusters only and they get me in the air but I can't move forward. What am I doing wrong ?

Ever consider a collab project on a large grid vanilla PVP ship with scripted PMW? I am trying to find a new partner, since JD Horx (IMDC) retired. I used to partner with him. I am good at engineering and weapons but not so good at making things pretty at the end. ;) Sent a friend request if you might be interested in passing a blueprint back and forth and collaborating.

The only purpose of the rear Connector is to provide a direct access to the Survival Kit (mind the LCD above). Since the ship comes with four additional Connectors, there is no need to use this one for docking.

I havn't play Elite Dangerous since 2015 and never used the Type 6/7. And even though the Skuld shares some elements with EDs ship-design in general, I fail to see the resemblance to this vessel tbh - apart from the industrial cockpit, which happens to look somewhat similar.

Thanks everybody for rating and commenting on this vessel. I've been off-grid since last thursday and wasn't able to replay sooner. I'll will evaluate the feedback and see what I can add to the coming update.


About the screenshots: I have a dedicated savegame that I use for screen and has a few mods installed for visual enhancement (see credits in the description). I also recently switched to an nvidea gpu and make first experiements with Ansel. Plus most of my screenshots receive some additional postwork in gimp.
