Hey there @Forrest316. Glad you like the map! The disaster AI is run from the game and a map has no influence. I've heard of this happening so let's do a test. On the landscaping menu, you can trigger a disaster - it's one of the tabs. It might be there only with Extra Landscaping Tools mod, but I'm not sure. That mod is a must have anyway. :D
Click on a disaster type, then click it somewhere on the map, hit play and see if it triggers. Let me know

Hi! I've been playing on this map for a while now and I love it. However I'm not sure if it's on my end but for whatever reason there hasn't been a single disaster that has spawned even after playing it for 12 hours, with high frequency on, etc. Do you think this is on my end or could it be something with the map? Thanks!

@Señor Shenanigans ugh, a bright lime green grass sounds just awful. The possibilities could be: your visual settings and LUT on Ultimate Eyecandy and Relight (see 2 images in middle of my images above^, big church, settings boxes). Also possible is using Theme Mixer and having a different grass still selected by accident, and be sure to set Daylight Classic to Classic Brightness but not classic color scheme.
Hope that fixes it.

Hi @Exsosus|Cryo| thanks for your kind words! That's a great tip - this map would be great with 81 tiles but indeed there are risks they should read up on. As for myself, I always use a 25 tile mod because the coding is an extremely simple unlock and won't harm a thing. 81 tiles is a master work but apparently required a lot of code to the game.

Just an fyi - the infrastructure required many, many days and 3 complete remakes I tore up the highway & rail combo over the fjords even more times. I don't want to think about how much time I spent lol

You get that first of all by using a custom map theme, which replace the default looks of your environment, including grass, rock, water color and more. I have made a bunch of them, most with less harsh grass colors. Second, you can really improve the looks of the game with a good "LUT", even without a custom map theme, and LUTs can be used by anyone. The LUT I use in the pictures is this one: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1605134064

Neither map themes nor LUTs are considered mods, so you will still get achievements if you use them. Hope that helps you get nicer looking grass!

Hi, you definitely don't need Snowfall. You need to subscribe to the map theme Glacier Fjord, and if you already have, it sound like you're using Theme Mixer mod. I the mod, you need to choose Glacier Fjord's sand texture, which is actually snow. You'll see it once you activate it. :)

Hello, I installed all the required addons, but one problem came up. The snow shows up as sand. Is this because I don't own snowfall dlc? And is there something I can do to fix that without buying that dlc?

Hi, yes this is an international style in a temperate biome. You can turn on the European style of buildings, though. Before you start a new game, go to content manager, styles, and activate the European style. :) I don't like the European biome because its shadows are far, far too dark and the lighting is also very bad.

You're welcome Mr. SIX, using that report will also help you see any assets that fail (that's bad, marked in the red part of the report) so that you can remove them and avoid asset-related problems. :) Enjoy!

Mr. Six, a tip for you: those missing trees are not in this map. They're likely in assets you've subscribed to that require them. For example, I've never used Fluffy Grass, but I know it's a requirement of a nice workshop road out there, but you'd have to have gone onto the road's page to find that out. So, every time you want to subscribe to *anything*, always go to its full workshop page (and check the right column for additional required items) rather than just hitting a quick subscribe button like you see in a collection. That way, you can be sure that you have all the parts needed.

@Mr. SIX -- If you know they're missing, you must be using the Loading Screen Mod. If so, that mod creates a report (if you have it set in the options) and that report provides links to any missing items.

Be sure to read the instructions and sign up for the two collections (mods and assets). You should have at least 16GB of RAM to be able to run the city.

Once you've got it all set up, select "load city" and you will find Fjordland under your save games!

Hi OohCHOCOLATE, the easiest way to get this game to have nicer colors is through the mod Daylight Classic https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=530871278 Start Cities, click Content Manager on the main menu. Then click Mods on the left hand side. Next to Daylight Classic click the button to activate it. Then on that same page click DC's Options button. Activate only Classic Sunlight Intensity, deactivate the rest. Now restart the entire game (do this after activating or deactivating any mods, just to be safe). Load up the map, activate Photorealistic LUT https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1605134064 and it will look very close to this ^ :)

Hey guys, I need some help.

So I downloaded this map with all of the required items, and when booting up this map, I had 2 options:
1. Temperate theme (original; no custom theme)
2. Glacier Fjord (custom theme)

However, I am unable to replicate what is shown in the screenshots above. If I boot up the map without any custom themes, everything looks right but there isn't snow on the top of mountains. If I go with the custom theme, there is snow but the colors look off. Everything is too bright (too sunny and grass is bright green in color), but I want the somewhat shaded aesthetic shown in the screenshots.

I am new to custom maps (or modding in general), so I have tried to troubleshoot myself but failed.

Please help, thank you! :)

:D Yeah, I published a whole bunch of versions so that people could enjoy it either as a regular blank map that you must build your own city (this one and the "almost vanilla" one), then two save games with the city in different versions. :) Not surprised that it is a bit confusing. Hope you found what you wanted!

Ok i think i found it..is not a saved game but is a map.

i have tried ther version with no DLC and Mass Transit Version, both i subscribed it but it wont appear the saved game when i launch it. But for the campus and less DLC version i got no problem with it.

do you mean the above map collection?? which map i need to subscribed to let this version to appear as saved game when i log in?

@Rysouke scroll all the way down the list of maps. First the default maps are listed A-Z, then the custom maps are listed A-Z after that.

You need to subscribe to Glacier Ford Map Theme. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1774582619 When you load up your city or start a new one, select Glacier Ford as the map theme. If it doesn't show or an error message shows up, click another map or save, then click back on Fjordland or your save and Glacier Ford will appear. It's a common glitch for the game.

i dont have snow.....the texture is yellow....have someone a idea why?

@Anil, if problem still persist, please check your mods. In my experience, Bloodypenguin's Service Vehicle Selection mod causes problem to my planes. I have to disable it and play new game.

You will have to wait a long time for planes to start coming in. The same is for shipping. This is true on any map.

Hi. I did the airport. But the planes don't fly. what would be the reason? There are no planes in the air.
