Note that Historical National Focus Dates is not compatible with Expert AI 4.0.
Please remind me again in what order should I load Expert AI, this submode and Historical Portraits original mod for the best functionality?
THE 5th YEAR ANNIVERSARY UPDATE of Historical Portraits is live since last friday!
A little before the 1st july.
This anniversary update marks a significant increase in the number of photos (patchnote is here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/changelog/960885363/ )
The many updates (355) since the birth of the mod, then of its main sub-mod "more leaders" (40) in April 2020 have been the result of more than 1500 hours of work at least (research, coding, corrections, additions of content over the course of the evolution of the game and the requests of the players, etc).
It takes a lot of time to find photos, work on them and add their codes to the files, especially for advisors...
These gifts can be seen essentially as a gratification for the work already done in 5 years on Historical Portraits and also the other mods in "A collection of historical mods" ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails /?id=1730953972).
Thank you for your support and your help sometimes over these 5 years.
See you!
Do I have Exper AI first, then the regular historical portraits mod (as you are ment to use this one along the original) and thirdly this one?
Or in any other order?
At least some nations that I regularly encounter i my plays have unique leaders, that's better than vanilla.
I appreciate you effort to make your mods compatible with Expert AI as much as possible.
Keep up the good work!
In what order do you activate the mods? > whatever order
Do you have anything else turned on or any other tweeks? > other mod that don't touch the same files as my mods.
Please tell me exactly how you go about releasing the nations?
Do you use the custom game rules at start of the game to decolonize and fragmant continets and countries?
In what order do you activate the mods?
Do you have anything else turned on or any other tweeks?
You say it's all good on your end?
Then I should be able to recreate it on my end.
Please tell me exactly how you set it up and I'm going to copy that.
For all other countries, I have no idea; I don't remind that they had historical leaders.
Same reason for 90% of releasable african countries, they have fake leaders or randomly generated ones.
Maybe you used one day the mod "Every Country a leader", which is giving more leaders for africa?
For South Africa, it's weird. All leaders photographies appears in my game. Could you give me the names of these leaders who are bugged for you?
And it doesn't explain why Est doesn't get a communist leader but Lat and Lit do.
I also tested the historical Portraits mod by itself (without expert ai and Historical Portraits & Expert AI: compatibility submod) and got the same result.
If it's any help for you in finding the problem, I spotted another bug, when decolonizing Africa most African countires get generic pictures, even South Africa, that in the Vanilla game gets a unique one.
Before testing I cleared the user directive.
Just to be clear, I should have the original historical portraits mod; https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=960885363&searchtext=historical+portraits
and this one; https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1880087214&searchtext=historical+portraits
turned on, nothing else right?
@interbastian I understood why you have generic portraits; It's because they are fake leaders! Historical Portraits will not "loose" content from the last versions of the game. And it will not eplace them. It's now the purpose of its sub-mod. The submod is in built, at 99% from the help ofthe players who are suggesting historical leaders for replacing these fakes ones. I have no doubt that, one day, leaders of the new releasable sovietic countries will be historical with their unique photos.
I can't get this you great mods to work properly anymore.
I have tested to this mod along with expert ai and you original historical portrait mod and then with your latest more leaders submod too.
When playing the Soviet Union I used to be able to release all "occupied territories" and they would all have their unique historical accuarte leader.
Now I only get that for Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbadjan and Kazakstan.
Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tadjikistan and Kirgisitan only gets generic leaders no matter how I combine you mods with expert ai.
When I puppet Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania plus create Moldovan SSR I only get generic leaders too.
Two or three patches ago, I used to get historically accurate unique leaders for all these nations.
When you have time to spare, please look over these issues, see what you can do to fix it.
I love you mods they really add immersion to the game. Keep up the great work, gl!
