Anyone is welcome to update this mod. I have been consumed by Distant Worlds 2 and a much larger mod I'm building there.

At some point I may return to Stellaris, but it's not something on my current radar.

Since I haven't updated this in at least 6mos, there are likely some issues with it. But I just don't have the time to maintain it myself. Apologies, and hopefully someone would like to update it themselves. It's not a lot of files to update, but you have to look at the differences in how things are from Stellaris today as compared to 6mos ago (thereabouts).

Some folks might want to check out Distant Worlds 2. Not quite the same experience as Stellaris - different cuppa - but a hellova game in its own right.

Does anyone know if there is a mod that removes the build cap on exploration cruisers (and other supercapital ships) for NSC2?

I just started a new game after the last DLC and don't remember exploration cruisers being limited to 1 and am finding it really annoying.

I would have posted this on the main NSC2 page, but didn't see a comment section...

Does this still work right with the new season of NSC2? I know they reworked starbases

Yes - this one modifies NSC. So if you want these effects, it needs to be lower in the load order so it overrides NSC.

I have another version of this which has nothing to do with NSC - it's more general purpose - if you're not using NSC.

Do I need to run both for this to work, running 2.7.2?
Better Starbases then have the this one at the bottom of the load order.

However, it is fine for 2.8 - you can safely ignore the warning.

Thanks for the feedback. Definitely a conflict - this mod will add what the description names.
You might be able to reorder things and use both? Might.

@patrickevans61 I had the same issue too, but fortunately I manage to find out the cause, and It's a mod called "Plentiful Traditions".

must have another mod bugging this one i only get like 6 weopons on top an only 4 moduals in the bottom in the star base lay out - will try an figure out whats what if you have a clue pls kick me

timjohn - glad you're enjoying this. It has some inspiration for ST:NH. I have a 'better travel: slower speed' mod directly because I prefer the FTL of ST:NH over default stellaris.

@Mordachai, not worries. I just recalled another one has been created that moves everything from 6 to 9. I think the person who made it was part of the NH creative team so for them maybe was easier. Thanks for this mod though.

@timjohnb5 - I do play ST:NH sometimes. It's a helluva good overhaul mod.
I'm not sure if I'd want to - they redo a lot of systems in that mod - something like this would need to be done from scratch (ideas same, but totally different implementation that allows for their systems to work).

@Mordachai. Firstly thanks for a great mod, it really good. I wanted to ask if you could make a similar mod that is compatiable with the Star Trek New Horizons Mod? NH only have 6 slots and it really annoying. The creators won't increase either. Wondering if you familiar with NH and if you could create a similar mod for it?

Looks like I may have overridden the NSC tech for drydocks? That's the only ref in this version of the mod to drydocks. Uploading a version without that. Let me know if it helps? (may require a new game?)

But I think I avoided adding that tech in this version of my mod because the NSC folks already had one...

Just FYI the drydock tech has no description. It just shows up as tech 1 drydock in the technologies window.

I do. I just got this expansion and was away for the weekend - so I haven't updated my mods yet.

I maybe do a little bit of this today - but generally speaking, I won't have time until the following weekend.

It would be great to have the same mod, but with only the new modules. There are mods that already add module slots. Still, great mod.

You'll get some sort of mashup if you mix this with Starbase - Extended.
Exactly what sort of mashup will depend on which of these loads first, which second.
You're welcome to play with that and see what you think - but both are going to alter some of the same files - so one one of them will win for some aspects of the resulting game.

With the 2.5 loader - put the one you most want to have control lower down on your list of enabled mods. Last wins in 2.5.

Not achievement-compatible - no.

Only mods that ONLY affect superficial things like colors, sounds, pictures.

Anything that alters game play whatsoever is not.

I haven't, sorry. It might be fine - since this one stays away from redefining the core starbases themselves (which NSC2 does to add more modules and sb buildings - similar to SB extended).

Have u tested with !-Starbase - Extended-!?, because I havent yet. I want to know if its compatible with this mod?
