this is the perfect map, only custom trees no annoying custom bridges, rocks etc.

This is an excellent map with just enough height variation to make it interesting but not frustrating or hard to build on, I love it. However, there is a missing piece of highway near the edge of the map: it cut off right after the tunnel started and fixing it was a bit of a pain as CS doesn't let you build tunnels without a mod in the map editor.

I'm not sure if it was caused by some mods I have, but as far as I know its not. Please ignore my comment if this is just an issue on my end, but if its not, please fix it. :slimehappy:

Thanks! :)

Nice map!

Aha! the weirdness of mods strikes again. :D Happy building! :chirp:

Of course the problem was not your map! :)
So far I think it was the Cargo Info (Fix) mod, but only in left-hand drive for this map. Wierd. The wiki for TM:PE on Outside Connections Not Working has a very nice troubleshooting list I worked through. Those warnings have not yet reappeared ....
Thanks for another excellent map!

*correction, Cross the Line mod allows you to place and fix infrastructure outside of the regular tiles. It's a great mod for this issue
MrMiyagi  [author] 23 Nov, 2019 @ 12:59pm
Hmm! I haven't tried this in left-hand drive, so I certainly believe you. Since you use mods, I would use BloodyPenguin's Cross the Line mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=498386331 which will allow you to go wander over to all connections and see what's up. Cloud and Fog Toggler mod will also help, it will allow you to disable to edge fog and see clearly.
I'll be interested to see where the problem is. :)

I love this map. When I use it with left-hand drive I get warnings about not being connected. I tried adding unlimited connections mod but still get the warnings. Any clues?

I'll check on the water flow, but it would require me fixing three maps and two save games because I made many options :steamfacepalm:. I don't think I have the strength after PDXCON and the Global Build Off this past weekend :steambored: Yes, the underground railroads are a pain. It's better with "straight slope" enabled on Road Anarchy 2 mod, but I often end up having to use Move It as well.
Glad you enjoyed this map, though! I have new ones coming up, so I'll use your suggestions to improve them!

Hi @c0mad0r! No, you are really helpful!!! Thank you for your great suggestions; I rely on you all to help my maps get better by everyone's suggestions.
The highway you mention is definitely meant to be widened. 2x2 highway like you suggest works great. Sometimes I toss in a challenge for you all (and me! lol I also had to widen it. What a pain this one was to widen and keep the sides next to each other). I'll almost always have challenges outside the start square so it isn't a pain while in the start of the city.

Played in stock 3x3 mode, made my first 300k city using this map. Such a joy to play on. Granted, I teraformed a lot of areas, but I REALLY enjoyed this map. Thank you! I posted a few public pictures of it at 300k if interested in looking on my profile.

ONLY recommendations:

1) Water flow is a little weak on the south end, causing polluted water to wash back towards the mountain flow origin.

2) The 2x1 lane highway going down the peninsula to the round-about was a pain for me late game as I could not upgrade it at the trumpet DCIM and had horrible bottleneck traffic from it. Please consider widening that one to a 2 x 2 lane.

3) The road going up the mountain was aesthetically nice, but I didn't own the last tile going up the mountain and it got in the way.

4) Underground railroad was difficult to intersect with.

Sorry if this sounded critical, it's not. I thoroughly enjoyed your map!

Thenks @Rex Banner & @Richard. Thanks for your kind words, Richard :) I am glad to hear that my planning works for you! I try to make the start tiles of my maps be as helpful as possible for players to get a good start to their city without massive traffic headaches (that's why I have multiple highway access points within my start squares), and give them as much space as possible to do what they like in the start square.

Dear Mr. Miyagi

You did an absolutly amazing job on this map.
The fact that you could do it, with so little custom content is quite frankly amazing.
also i just want to point out that the mountains are gourgeus.
Also the start tile is wonderful, and it enables the player to feel free, and let their creativity flow.
This is actually a thing i've seen a lot of people having trouble with, so great job, an keep up the good work.

You're welcome, Skignovilous!
Lol yes indeed, Avanya. A few bits of the best chocolate available on the workshop :steamhappy:
Avanya 7 Oct, 2019 @ 8:40am
Almost vanilla - so like vanilla ice cream that has a few small bits of chocolate in it? :D

This map is gorgeous and I'm sure players with few DLCs and filled up RAM will be happy to ahve this option! :D

Very nice map. Thank you MrMiyagi. You always manage to raise the standards for maps.
