I AM IN LOVE WITH THE IDEA OF A BOMB OMB AS A FIGHTING CHARECTER 10/10

Pretty cool and interesting character all around, I love all the callbacks to Mario 3 in their design and moveset. He's very fun and his charging mechanic leads to a lot of interesting strategy.

However, me and my friends came across a bit issue while playing as him. Using down special in an online lobby in the little practice menu crashes the game. We also came across a bug where his cannon would endlessly spawn cannonballs every frame without being able to be destroyed, though we weren't able to consistently replicate that one..

That aside, very cool and well made character, hoping these issues will get fixed someday in the future.

this is one of the most hevy characters in the game also bom-omb (wick) is my favorite enemy!

His name is Wick. Bob-omb is the name of the generic enemy type, the race/species if you will. Wick is a Bob-omb, but not every Bob-omb is Wick; like Bombette from Paper Mario.

Any updates on recovery and down-b?

Wick's recovery is quite terrible, if he bounces off the wall to wall-jump, he has almost no chance to get back because of its very small horizontal movement...
Buff horizontal movement/give directional input?

I wish the down b wasn't bugged :c. I really like this char

FYI the down special isnt broken

do neutral special until you have 1 or more on your timer and then you can spawn a cannon. Charging up to 5 then charging again will cause you to explode which does major damage to your foe.

fix the down B please, this caracter is so cool

Can you please fix his down special or pass it on to someone who is willing to update it for you? I really like this character and I miss him.

There is a problem with his cannon infinitely firing more and more cannons from one spawn, can you look into this, what made this occur was a Free-for-all on a modded stage, being circhester city against Snom, Ori and Bandana Dee

is it just me or is his level 3 ai literly on level 9, because his ai literly rushes you with no mercy

Ima be real, Wick is why I bought Rivals.

I like this character although I have loads of fighter mods in my game but this is the one I'm suspecting is crashing my game whenever they're in a match.

It's unfortunate because I like the character but I rarely use it for this reason.

Do you mind if I make an echo fighter of this character? The character I was going to make is extremely similar. The changes would be down special and forward special being reworked along with a few other moves. Also overall speed would be increased and knockback decreased.

theres a glitch where if you put a canon down and then fire a bullet bill at it, the game will crash

I really enjoy the down b changes. While I thought the burner was really cool, I just didn't find it useful in a lot of situations. Lmao we didn't deserve it though. One quick question though, if an opponent destroys a cannon, does it only replenish upon losing a stock? I was playing with a friend and when he destroyed it, it was on cooldown for the rest of the match (it was late into the match and I killed him and ended the match before we could see if losing a stock replenished it) Just asking incase this is a bug.

so is this character considered broken?

i performed a fully charged n-special while fighting sylvanos, but in the same frame the explosion went of sylvanos performed an up-strong.

there is a bug when you hit an opponent with strong moves while they`re attacking the game crashes

I landed a down air on a cpu absa and my game immediately crashed.

Wick's getting a TCO and Trummel and Alto Codec and Otto bobblehead soon...

One of my favorite characters. Somehow, Wick is very fast, especially in the air. The ammo mechanic can lead to some interesting plays. And Wick is surprisingly strong.

@RoyGuyManDude Thank you for letting me know! I was having that same problem too and I had no idea why, because the character was working fine last night. That makes so much sense now because I started using that alt today. Glad it’s just a bug with the alt and not the character, because I love playing as Wick! Hope LP patches it soon. Also, great name lol :)

Sorry for lame question, but once I subscribed to the item in STEAM and re-launched the game, where should I be able to see this character? Seems I cant see him in selection of available characters in Practice Mode.

the issue is that the last character in the menu cannot be selected, you need to reposition the characters

I'm not allowed to select him in the menu. It might be that I'm flooded with mods, but I'm unsure

Apparently only his second to last alt (the one I'd call the Trans Rights alt) crashes the game when you hit one of his explosions.
Yes, I did test out all the alts and it seems this is the only one that actually crashes the game.
Maybe there's something wrong in the files?

There should be a bomb omb buddy so that they can follow each other around!
