I would definitely like to reiterate that im no longer working on THIS workshop item, refer to the link below for the finished version which is a separate item. But I would agree however that the new kyra should be given a fair chance before giving criticism.

I think people need to fully test the characters moves before you just shit on it, it's far better then the first version

Sorry to all who have been waiting for an update...The new overhaul has been in the works but the gimmicks are taking longer than expected to get working properly. Only her Dspecial and Nspecial still need reworking, so hopefully in the near to distant future kyra will be better than ever!

A revised moveset, with new specials, imrpoved and rewritten aerials, rebalancing, skins, and working in new crystal themed gimmicks with a more ranged heavy moveset. Hitboxes have also been expanded to make the character feel more smooth. Update to be complete in the near future. (also a nice jab combo)

This really means a lot, i really appreciate that your enjoying the character. If all goes to plan, the next update for kyra should resolve most if not all of the problems, as well as add some extra alt skins that i had in mind!

This character is a lot of fun! The hitboxes take some getting used to, but I'm super impressed at how well they can combo, Kyra's got some amazing shorthop fair strings at certain percents and the momentum a landing side special carries sets up for some really nice follow-ups on the ground. I love the idea behind the morphing crystal attacks, and the crystal-based moves themselves have some smooth looking animations that just fit right into RoA, & while I think her neutral special makes a pretty good gimping tool in some cases, a chargable option would be cool to see as well,a little more action with the bow would be nice to see. The alts look excellent, I don't think I've seen that stated, the costume colors all look super good.

I think this character is awesome as is; a few more frames of animation, a little more focus on the bow, a touch more kill power on charged attacks, & maybe some slight tweaks to the visuals and Kyra could easily be one of the best, really cool character!

I appreciate all the feedback, if im being honest the current state of the character is a result of me just getting used to the modding tools and mastering the basics, now that ive done that i can now go back and rebuild the characters moveset to be more creative and complex, I definitely like these ideas and will do my best to do some of them justice!

I've got a couple suggestions, actually.
Maybe the basic special attack could be charged up to shoot a larger crystal arrow (that deals 4% damage) that shatters into 5 crystal shards (Dealing 2% of damage), giving Kyra a reliable AOE attack?
Maybe the up special could cause a giant crystal to instantly grow underneath her, throwing her upwards and slightly forwards into the air?
Maybe her down air would let her shoot an arrow below her while in mid air, the recoil from the bow lifting her through the air a little bit and keeping her airborne for longer?
There's a ton of stuff you could do with crystals and bows. :P

I definitely agree that a lot more needs to be done with this character, gimmicks and move rewrites included. I appreciate all you guys giving me feedback, and hope that further updates can resolve Kyra's very simple current state.

I kinda have to agree with everyone else here that Kyra does feel very underpowered and a bit too vanilla. Like with what Dyxo Xinoro posted, she HAS a Bow, but doesn't USE the Bow outside of a weak underwhelming Neutral Special. If you utilized the bow a lot more (Not every attack has to be using the bow obviously) then you could have a pretty good Long-Range Fighter that uses their weapon to their advantage.

My problem is that Kyra doesn't really feel like an archer right now. There's a lot of attacks with the bow, but it feels more like someone who *has* a bow than someone who *uses* a bow. A few things I could think of is allowing the Nspec bow to be charged (as jmh8814 suggested), have Fstrong be a diagonally downward arrow shot (similar to what Clover does), and/or have the FSpec be a backwards jump that shoots an arrow slightly ahead of where Kyra was (similar to Naota's USpec). An expansion of what the bow's weird transformations do might be nice as well.

The moves that currently feel a bit too plain for me are Jab, UTilt, FSpec, and DSpec.

Thanks to all who have tried this out, i hope to be updating the animations and move set as i go, the current version I understand is fairly basic. If you have any recommendations for how to alter the move set or improve balance, I'm open to suggestions. (New gimmicks already in the works)

Good character, but it seems too vanilla-y. Make it more interesting. Maybe a gimmick would work.
