Nice puzzle Thumbs up!

Lots of clever moves hidden in such a small map, wow. Almost didn't make it. The map gave me some sleepless nights. I thought there was only one possible ending, but that NOT gate was messing with my mind ^^
So many backs and forths with the cubes, incredible.
Thumbs up :steamthumbsup:

For some reason, I couldn't figure out a simple move and I feel a bit dumb because of it
But in the end I managed to do it, this was puzzle was great :steamthumbsup: Favorited !

@sickle
aaa thanks so much!! I’m so happy to hear that, I’m glad this map has provided fun replays for you :D

One of my favourite ever maps; still fun after multiple playthroughs. Every so often I'll come back to it, and remember the 'trick', but not quite remember the full solution... and so do it all again!
Love how tight it is btw; you really have to go out of your way to find unintended routes, by which point you know you're going a bit off course. Perfect, cheers.

@nerdlington
Thank you for the kind words! That is usually how people's experiences with this puzzle go: they spot the ending move off the bat and don't face too much interference getting both cubes, but then from there they really have to plan out their strategy . Good job solving :-)
nerdlingnation 23 Jan, 2022 @ 12:46pm
Genius. Worked out the ending sequence, and then struggled for a little bit to get the funnel behind the fizzler correctly (that part was particularly precise; loved it). But after that, everything else nicely fell into place. Great work.

@DiDo Killer! Great job solving this one! Don't be too hard on yourself for having to check with the video for that move, this map is quite sneaky in a lot of places. Hope you had a fun time solving the rest :)
DiDo Killer! 22 Dec, 2021 @ 8:09am
Had to watch the solution video for the move at 1:20. Couldn't come up with it for some strange reason. Although it took me a while, the rest went smoothly. Thanks, I hate myself, great chamber.

Nice puzzle! Delicately maintaining the laser-cube was fun. I took me a while to realize both why I'd want the laser to shoot down onto the cube, and how to get into that position. Moving the cube in front of the laser while standing on the button felt just a bit awkward, but I can't imagine what could be done about that without invalidating the motivating setup.

@bullfrog
Even with its many flaws, this map is still probably my favorite puzzle I’ve made for this game, and I’m happy others enjoy it too :]

You must be very proud of this; it definitely remains well up there in my list.

Very nice map, really enjoyed it. I overlooked the very simple thing, but I got there in the end :)

Amazing map, its really cool how many steps a puzzle can have with the right placement, very impressing :)

@GrottoLova
haha don't worry about it, this one's tricky for sure
GrottoLova 21 Oct, 2019 @ 12:52pm
Holy crap. I'd have never figured that out. You bunch of smart peeps.

Very cool map with great logic! Faved!

@Dark Rozen
Cube throw solutions are obviously not intended. I realize you can cube throw. Don’t do it :/
Dark Rozen 17 Oct, 2019 @ 7:12am
I must have broken it or something because I found a way that involved a little cube throw.

Thank you, good job sticking with this one! I do the same thing all the time, probably why I solve maps so slowly :P

@Leomievs
I'm really happy you liked it! That is a very flattering comparison :D
Mikeastro 12 Oct, 2019 @ 4:22pm
Wow, took me about half an hour to finally crack this one. And what can I say? Another super cool puzzle, very skilfully crafted. Another fav? Another fav.
Narkodes 12 Oct, 2019 @ 3:17am
Great map!
jandlml 11 Oct, 2019 @ 9:24pm
excellent map! i was thinking the wrong way to block the laser to respawn the cube. i kept trying to figure out a way to drop the cube to block it. my lousy powers of observation at work again. i wasnt paying attention to the layout of the map. i have to say thats really important lol sometimes i just miss the easiest thing . i could have finished way earlier . standing up on the glass i finally smartened up. faved!:steamhappy:
jandlml 11 Oct, 2019 @ 9:04pm
a couple things. let me think
Teo  [author] 11 Oct, 2019 @ 5:04pm
@jandlml
If the top surfaces are grated, what can still come out of a portal on those surfaces?
jandlml 11 Oct, 2019 @ 4:48pm
well ive gotten farther but ,is the ceiling section part of the solution. i just cant find a way to use them. so stuck
Teo  [author] 11 Oct, 2019 @ 3:43pm
@BehindPortal
Haha yup, this one's definitely the hardest I've put out since Vantage. I was just a bit tentative to rate it as Medium-Hard since that's what I wrote Vantage's difficulty as :P I hope the difficulty didn't lessen your enjoyment of the map :D
Teo  [author] 11 Oct, 2019 @ 3:39pm
@jandlml
That's my fault :O try going over to the high platform with the cube dropper and looking up
Leo 11 Oct, 2019 @ 5:58am
Wow, that was quite tricky. A surprisingly long sequence of moves for such a small space, and all of it was very clever! It reminded me of Azorae's puzzles. NOT gates really have some unexploited potential. Also I agree with you that the intended solution is more interesting and uses the layout better than the unintended found by Joric. Anyway, this is a perfect puzzle, favourited!
BehindPortal 11 Oct, 2019 @ 5:55am
ohh god too much hard puzzle. Difficulty: Medium :steamhappy: you must be joking . :p2cube:
Teo  [author] 11 Oct, 2019 @ 4:40am
@Joric
Don’t feel like you need to replay, but I do disagree that it was a minute detail. The reason I worked fast to patch it out was because it skipped a reuse of the 3x1 white surface for the laser, a reuse of the laser cube so that it’s not used only once, a reuse of the funnel, a reuse of the stair-button, two cube swaps, and the flip panel, which is the most important element in the map. It also made many main design aspects seem like complete red herrings/inefficiencies, including the high cube dropper area being able to be funneled up to and the stairs button’s existence, as it is only used once to get the player to an exit location which, in that solution, doesn’t seem to make any sense. Thanks again for finding that original exploit, if you find any others just let me know
Joric 11 Oct, 2019 @ 3:24am
Well, not that it was "quite a bit", it was a minute detail really, a few seconds extra.
bullfrog 11 Oct, 2019 @ 2:05am
To rephrase; ‘hopefully those who have not watched the official video yet will play, or replay it, as the intended solution is superb and really rewarding to solve’.
Joric 11 Oct, 2019 @ 1:13am
Well it's not a kindergarden if there's a video I automatically assume it has been watched.
bullfrog 11 Oct, 2019 @ 12:31am
@Joric, I didn't know that you'd looked the new solution video, what a shame.
Joric 11 Oct, 2019 @ 12:02am
Why should I? There's an official solution already.
bullfrog 10 Oct, 2019 @ 11:05pm
Great update which I think fixes the "solution [that] is logical but skips quite a bit" found by @Joric and @jgaultney - hopefully they'll replay it

Thank you! I like this one too :)
