@i tunnel :> is 15% really too much for you? I mean, I can do it, it's pretty easy, but the change is getting pretty insignificant :winter2019neutralyul:

Can you do 10% or 12%?

No worries :) Thank you for the response @Krisys! Have a great day

@Zilyanna No, the last loaded mod will take precedence, so only one will apply, sorry :/

@krisys can your 15% and 20% mod stack on each other? or would the 20% override the 15% while both are on? (im lookin to make the enemies as strong as possible so my brother and i arent murdering everything with 1-2 hits. currently using the 6man difficulty mods and a few others and they all work nicely)

@Superkiwifruit : Well, that's awkward, but yeah in the game armor values are calculated as a percentage of health values.

On the other hand this should also apply to the armor values of items you find - their value is calculated as a percentage of expected health values for their level, which is in turn calculated from the normal per level increase and a supposed constitution contribution.

I have no idea how to bypass that though :/ I'll mention that in the mod description.

I love the idea of this mod, I'm trying to make a healing build more viable, I seem never to need to heal anyone in game because everyone just gets 1 shot. However, after installing your mod, I noticed that enemy armor and magic armor went up massively too. I was expecting their health to go up, but why did their armor too? Am I missing something? Does constitution affect enemy armor too?
Krisys  [author] 15 Oct, 2019 @ 12:10pm
@Zed Dor-Cede : This affects everyone yes. I haven't tested it as extensively as I would have wanted, but it should mostly make the game a bit harder for very damage-focused groups, since in this case it will only benefit the enemies. There's no reason it would make the game unplayable though.

@RJ, The Last OG F|C : The big issue I see with resistance increase is that it would make the physical damage based builds even stronger than they are in the vanilla game (spoiler : they're already the strongest ones). As I have previously stated the nice alternative would be that the Constitution bonus would also apply to the character's armor, but I have no Idea how to implement something like that :/

@Sarril : The thing is, in the vanilla game constitution is... not very useful. Essentially because
1/ The most efficient way to finish combats is to kill enemies before they kill you, which implies relying a lot on your damage output, and not much on your defenses / utility.
2/ Once people strike your health bar directly, they can chain-immobilize you through status effects, and you're basically useless even if you have tons of life left.
My current mod aims to fix the first issue, but does nothing for the second - once your armor is down you are still virtually just a meatbag. Having constitution improve both health and armors would fix that, since in that case by investing in constitution would effectively give your character a longer action time in combat rather than just making them longer to kill.

WHAT IF! Cause I like what's going on here...CON increased life like 10% instead of 7%, and it also slightly increased all resistances? (like 1% per level? how wits increases crit)

This would make CON better, but not crippling when enemies have high con, and create more unique dynamic of elemental damage use/strategy on both the player and the enemy's behalf?

I take it this effects NPCs and enemies as well? And how much harder does it make Tactician where they already have +% and +% per level?
Sarril 14 Oct, 2019 @ 12:37pm
Well, then it could be a bit too OP/too influencial/characters with higher constitution stat would've had too much of a difference to the ones with it lower... well, I guess it would depend how much it would be balanced out etc, make give how much etc
I personally don't see the need for it to work that way, but well, it could be a thing, I think I would've had nothing against it if it was... even tho I don't like when opponents are really really REALLY huge damage-sponges XD
Krisys  [author] 14 Oct, 2019 @ 12:27pm
@Sarril : No what I meant wasn't to increase how much armor your items give you in general, but make Constitution increase this amount the same way it impacts life - that would give Constitution way more meaning, and would make the game's tanks actually chonky ^^
Sarril 14 Oct, 2019 @ 11:09am
Well, I don't quite agree that armor should.. or shouldn't give more armor. I simply don't much care for that, it can just as well give less than it gives currently, because I in games love where it's not just the items that make you strong, but your experience/leveled character, from almost zero to a hero, with or without equipment can take much, using the energy inside of him/her to keep on going and fighting even after receiving attacks that would already kill many ;3
Krisys  [author] 14 Oct, 2019 @ 10:45am
@Sarril : Thanks ! Actually the best way would be to have it increase how much armor your items give you as well as life, but as a modder I have strictly no idea how to do that c:
Sarril 14 Oct, 2019 @ 9:45am
Cool idea, cool thing, cool mod. I agree with the statement above, Constitution stat should provide more than it does already, and you either can get one-shot, or one shot someone else far too easily sometimes.
