@BT-7274, that sounds like an issue with the game, not the ship, but you can use the launcher for it to get it to orbit.
Then I cheated it into orbit - docking it with the ship was very hard, which is obvious because there aren't any RCS thrusters on your pictures. After undocking, it wasn't hard to get it to gentle deorbit, although I wasn't able to manage gentle enough aerobrake for the command pod to not overheat and explode at about 30 km of altitude.
i like to think it is alt + < or alt + >.
thats how to manually activate "physical" timewarp, up to 4x
I stay away from ion engines because you can't accelerate time while a vessel is under acceleration. That was several versions ago, though. Maybe its different.
