Hey there! I would like to give an update on the problems I reported here a while back.

The problem with the ideological values, where I could not pick values even when I had a higher value than the policy required, has been fixed successfully.

Another problem persists though and can be seen in other replies here.

At the first point in which I can adopt a policy after choosing an ideology, the notification for the policy does not go away even after I have chosen one. I am stuck at that turn. Whenever I got stuck with your old rise to power mod and the JFDLC, I would save and then load that save back up, whatever notification was causing the problem would be gone or work fine. This did not work here, interestingly I was prevented from putting more than one policy in, so the loop didn't happen. Maybe a temporary solution would be saving-loading with policy saving turned on.

I am not 100% sure if the problem is caused by this mod, but it is certainly one of your mods that does it.

I guess this is the mod that is causing the issues. Idelogical tenets are broken and will cause your game to be stuck so the best idea sadly is to avoid them at all costs until the issues can be fixed.

I am having exactly the same issues as O'Brian: Around the modern era, ideological tenets deduct no culture and while policies do deduct culture, the "Adopt Policy" notification will not go away. This is fine for regular policies with policy saving on, but when receiving a free policy, it prevents the game from continuing at all. So it is not possible to continue the game.

Having the same issue as mentioned before. Only mods in use are Rise to Power mods, advanced setup, and the community patch required by some RtP mods. This was not a problem until around the modern era. Ideological tenets deduct no culture and while policies do deduct culture, the "Adopt Policy" notification will not go away. This is fine for regular policies with policy saving on, but when receiving a free policy, it prevents the game from continuing at all. I can't recall when this exactly started, but everything worked fine until sometime in the Industrial-Modern era. Perhaps when I unlocked ideologies. Free tech does not suffer from this problem, only policies.

Couldn't replicate the problem, sorry
Earl of Warwick 15 Mar, 2020 @ 9:31am
yeah the problem has not disappeared and tenets don't reduce culture points
Love_Touhou 8 Mar, 2020 @ 10:34am
Ah, one more bug which I just found out. After built of statue of liberty, free policy button does not disappear, blocking from proceeding to next turn.

*the word 'tanet' bellow actually meant policy. sorry for wrong vocabulary.
Love_Touhou 8 Mar, 2020 @ 10:27am
Also, culture does not decrease when I pick ideology tanets. ONLY ideology. normal tanets works well
Love_Touhou 8 Mar, 2020 @ 10:01am
having the same problem with earl here. Had 54% for liberal, 24% for fascism, and rest for communism. Yet only communist tanets are allowed.

thank you

Will check it out

this mod doesn't seem to work as intended. I had like 48% liberty, 40% equality and a much lower score for authority (can't remember it exactly), picked liberalism ideology and it was only letting me pick equality-aligned tenets despite clearly meeting and exceeding the 25% threshold for the liberty ones. I am using almost all of your new gameplay mods (with the exception of the science tree ui one and the great philosopher mod) with a few extra other ones, which couldn't be causing problems, like historical religions and trading posts into cities.

aw okay :( it's just i really love your work
JFD  [author] 26 Feb, 2020 @ 2:38am
Not really, mods and esp. UI mods don't really work well in MP.
Vunu 25 Feb, 2020 @ 10:32pm
i'm only using other RTP mods

works perfectly in single player. doesn't work in multiplayer. the glitch i described in november of 2019 occurs in multiplayer. is it possible to fix multiplayer?
Corvo 17 Dec, 2019 @ 7:47am
Hello, i love the mod concept. You have some plans to make this full compatible with VP? When i say "full compatible" that means, EUI, CP, CBO...
Vunu 5 Nov, 2019 @ 2:29pm
it doesnt subtract culture and takes away all of the spots and lets me claim unlimited tenents but it actually doesnt let me have the effects or spends my culture and it's just a mess it sucks because this mod sounds awesome and i want it to work
Vunu 5 Nov, 2019 @ 2:28pm
but when i hit the adopt policy button in the bottom right the UI bugs :(
JFD  [author] 5 Nov, 2019 @ 2:19pm
Works fine. Make sure you'r going to the Ideological Tenets panel to adopt your tenets.
Vunu 5 Nov, 2019 @ 2:00pm
hello, i am playing this mod with all three pre-requisites. i only have those three mods installed. i have tried it in singleplayer and multiplayer. the mod is bugged and forces me to adopt a policy even when i already have. it also appears as if i can get unlimited tenents but i cannot. none of them apply and after each turn it asks me to adopt a policy even when i have! please fix! it's a great mod
JFD  [author] 29 Oct, 2019 @ 6:22pm
EE is fine yeah
Lucius, the Heavenly Dragon 29 Oct, 2019 @ 8:58am
I am assuming that there is no support for ExCE, but since EE doesn't add new policies it would be compatible right?
π 24 Oct, 2019 @ 5:28pm
JFD = solo communitas? :D
Tryford 14 Oct, 2019 @ 7:02am
This sounds awesome. Can't wait to try it out
JFD  [author] 13 Oct, 2019 @ 3:17pm
I'll add a new screenshot for clarity, thanks for bringing that up
JFD  [author] 13 Oct, 2019 @ 3:17pm
Yes, it indicates next to the name of the Social Policy
Lucius, the Heavenly Dragon 13 Oct, 2019 @ 1:16pm
This seems interesting.
I don't have the time right now(due to Midterms), or in the near future to be able to open up Civ and test this, but when a player hovers their mouse over a social policy, can they see what Ideological Value that policy is related too?
Sneaky 12 Oct, 2019 @ 11:57pm
This looks like a really cool idea.
