also it was sort of unclear how the entire bottom area got flooded from the one aquarium there
overall a great map and i loved having to engage HECU with crowbars
Later on, the part with the sentries was designed quite beautifully. A headcrab comes out of the conference room and gets killed by the sentries, establishing both the presence of the turrets and the conference room as a safe location. Ducking behind the conference table allows you to bypass the sentries without a fight, and you're free to use one of the sentries to assist you in the defense section later. There's even a conveniently broken railing to make sure the sentry's bullets don't get blocked.
The only thing I didn't like was the helicopter fight at the end. It felt incredibly tacked on, and there was so much cover that it was barely a threat. Still, overall a very well made map with a few fun gimmicks.
In any case, an interesting map, though I noticed that everyone likes to make maps with the design of these particular laboratories. There are a lot of them
1: Base damage of the RPG, presumably unmodified
2: Health of the Apache, presumably increased
3: Difficulty, which modifies damage by a set multiplier for each difficulty.
To cut out the complex math, it boils down to the fact that on Easy you deal 50% *more* damage, and on Hard you deal 25% *less*. Naturally you deal regular damage on Normal.
The point is, both the map settings and your difficulty massively impact the difficulty of the fight.
Heh i died like 5 times on hard mode at the end..
Maybe there was a rocket container I just missed, but even if I did, I feel like 6+ rockets is kinda pushing it when it comes to killing a helicopter.
Now this is me BEGGING YOU to put this map (maybe clean without bodies?) in Garrys Mod. because it's quite pretty :D
