Anybody know how to fix the ids for the proving grounds recipes? like somebody mentioned a lot of them just say "1" required for crafting. idk how to fix this

A lot of items from this mod is bugged with mod jam, does anyone else have this issue?
frostweave requirement is just "1" instead of 1 shieldbearer corpse.

if you poke around in the workshop files you might find IDs for specific items. there may have been some ini or txt file with some clues. it's been a while, i don't remember how to cheat everything in

mycroft, the ID for the foundry research is "MZBitterFrostProtocolTech", i forget the exact console command but using this ID you can force unlock the technology for your campaign. you will need to enable the console and look up the commands tho

How do you just cheat this in? in the past like four years i don't think i have EVER actually gotten my hands on everything in this mod regardless of mod combinations and even in the super RARE times i get my hands on one of the grenades so i can research it, it's always after i've had my fill and i'm just bored out of my mind with xcom. I don't even CARE about fairness or whatever, i JUST want to go all "Mister Freeze" on my enemies. Legit i wish i could just start with these, or ANY of the cool elemental mods out of the gate. That way i could just jump into the fun elemental stuff right out the gate, instead of waiting till i'm halfway through the "i'm bored out of my mind, let's go play something else" stage and never actually get to use any of it.

There are actually a lot of mods with different names vs workshop names, probably 90% of them. The problem is that the first step in creating a mod in the tools is to give it a name, and that name can never be changed once you hit "Ok". (And spaces aren't allowed along with a couple other rules.) Meanwhile, the workshop name can be changed at any time.

What is this called in the mod list? I'm hoping it is called MZ Frost Rounds.
If it is the creator should make a note that it is called this as it is so different than the Workshop name.

Update: Asked around and the reason Vinter Frost Fangs were available alongside ionic ripjack is because of Weapon Item Overhaul Mod. Needed to add:

Same issue as RedDobe, Viper King Fangs avaible as soon as ionic ripjack is available, even though I never researched Viper King, or encountered him for that matter.

nevermind i found it, the name of the technology was "MZBitterFrostProtocolTech" so if anyone encounters the same issue as me that's the solution

man i really really wanna try this but i have a bug to report + asking for advice. turns out to research this you don't need a frost bomb, you need THE frost bomb. the one you started the game with. like a moron i brought the frost bomb into the first mission, lost the soldier. oops. i can't reload a save so just for the sake of finally being able to try this mod out, i added a frost bomb to my inventory with console commands. however it's not accepted to start the foundry project.

does anyone know a fix? or does anyone know the ID of the project for the foundry? i have tried force unlocking it with console commands using pretty much every possible way of writing "bitterfrost protocol" and all possible variations of it. i also tried "MZFrostRounds" and "MZ_Tech_BitterFrost". none have worked.

i really have wanted to play with this for a long time however i don't want to start a new campaign cuz im in too deep. any suggestions?

@Xuphilo_Cheesememe That sounds correct. Cryolators, and other chemthrowers, are in a whole new class of weapons that, by default, no base character classes can equip. You'd normally need something like Rusty's Alchemist class to use them.

Hi, I'm playing with the Long War 2 classes mod, and the only class that can equip the Cryolator is the technician. Is this a glitch, or does the Cryolator not work with the other LW2 classes?

Hello Mitzruti. Great mod here. I just wanted to report that the Winter King's Fangs are locked with the same tech as the default ripjack. So when the stun lancer autopsy is complete you can build the magnetic ones, and the archon autopsy unlocks the tier 3 version. I know your intention is to unlock them after the Viper King autopsy, but that is not the case. These are definitely too OP for the early game and why would you use the regular ripjack when you have this bad boy? Hopefully you can get this resolved. If you want to message me in DM that is fine I may know the reason.

Hello ! Is there a way to equip the cryolator as a secondary weapon ? I would like to use it with a glaive but the glaive ability are only usable as primary weapon.

For those with the BitterFrost Protocol proyect greyed out in the Proving Grounds even if you already have the required (unequipped) Frost Grenade, just open the console and type:

The cryolauncher fires adjacent to the ground and won't go over obstacles, like a simple box that gives half cover, rendering it almost useless in most situations. Any solutions?

I have the required frost grenade for unlocking the Bitterfrost protocol at the PrGr in my inventory but the protocol is still greyed out.
The grenade is not equiped by any soldier, i have already tryed to save/reload, go to the world map and get back, nothing.
The inventory prompts a "-" instead of a "1" for the grenade entry's quantity.
Might it be a conlict with "Buildable Hunter Weapon Redux"?

It is cool mod but some of the weapons require a Specialist so they don't work if you use proficiency classes mods.
