I'm gonna download this mod just to ally with the Holy Nation and use the sword against their enemies.

You have to start with it.

Question! Is the sword somewhere in the world too? Or do you HAVE to start with it?

I found the "tower" where the armour is. The bloke inside was a tad stroppy and so were all his goats. And a heck of a lot of goats he had there too. I say "had" as they're now meat and skin.
And while searching, I found a load of "chewed" books. Which I thought was very funny and very appropriate 8-))...

I can't ever recall seeing a goat in this game. But as I had not played for about 4 years, playing the game again is like playing a totally new game. I've not even played 100 hours yet so still a complete "noob" in all respects.
But I'll try your MOD out ASAP and go looking for some northern goats 8-))...

1. As of now, there is 2 in the world, but so few found the one hidden inside the artifact system, that I equipped an NPC with it as well...
3. And yes, you can use the character creator as normal. I just included a preset for the heck of it.
2. The needle is not hard to find once you travel a bit up north. It is an existing location known for its goats :D

Just downloaded this to give it a try. But I have a question(s) regarding the breastplate.
1 - You say it's unique.
2 - It's hidden somewhere in the world.
Or...
3 - It may also be used by some "goat herder" up north.
That's like saying to someone, "There's a gold sewing needle that I've hidden on this 2 acre playing field. Find it and you can have a million pounds. Oh! And I may have pushed it into the ground too!"
That being said. I'll start searching soon.
I suppose the character is preset for human? i.e. Could I change the race?

Cado913, I never tried the Nemesis mod, so I can't even begin to guess what causes that issue. apart from that, the sword use all it's anims from the katana-class, so it's a bit wierd..

FTLSquirrel, about that.... The artifact-system doesent quite work like that.
The plate is placed at random, and may spawn in any location that have high value loot.

could you make some books telling the players the general area of the armor? it feels like trying to find it is leaving your fate a little to much into the hands of the rng gods. doesn't have to be that great of a hint maybe just something like "it is rumored to be somewhere to the north" or something like that. or does the armor have a drop chance in every ruin you go to when you get there. maybe a better question is "does the armor spawn as soon as you start a game or does it spawn when you get to a new ruin?"

I finally found the armor after all this time with the mod active. I haven't really done much with the start, and forgot the armor is an artifact. I thought "hm, so this is where it spawns, I'm not playing that start, so I'll leave it here"

If you go to the Kenshi wiki page about artifacts it actually gives you a list of every location that uses the artifact system to spawn loot. Pretty much just a matter of checking any location that has a value for gear artifacts.

It¨s completely random.
It¨s added to a pool of things that will spawn only a certain number of times. All ruins have a "loot value" that limits what can be found there, so in this case, harder ruins have a greater chance.

Ah, that's fine. Also, what is the RNG for the breastplate? Like does it spawn more commonly in shops or in ancient ruins, and the more tougher to reach ruins, like the ones with blood spiders guarding them 'n such.

As for updates on this mod, it¨s not in the cards, I'm afraid.

Out of all the various start mods on the workshop, this one is truly special. Training my drunk nobody into an agent of darkness, only half-capable of lifting this 20kg behemoth of a sword above his head has been quite the ride. Not to mention that IMMENSE gratification when I finally found Narko's Breastplate tucked away in the Leviathan Plains. 10/10 currently training a dark army to overthrow Phoenix.

I'd love a lore-update, say, don't make the blade as heavy or as powerful at the start. But as you continue to kill holy nation subjects (Or other faction dudes) The blade gets stronger, as you are making narko happy. And give the holy nation leaders special dialogues once they realise you have said sword.

did some work...yeah no real way to do that...however did find out how to edit the start so I'm in mongrol...so now i can make Beep the Unholy Messiah right from the getgo

I will not be able to do much this side of the holidays, but I have been working on somethings that I think will be quite fun ;)

Not that I know, except for the option of letting yourself getting captured, imprissoned and sold into slavery.. that should do the trick... I think :)
