Amazing work ! I got this and the one for the Beastmen, both work superbly. I wonder if you made a similar mod for Norsca to gift settlements, as i couldn't find it.

Works, and AI chaos will use it too, but the vassal faction always seems to recruit some kind of custom lord that looks like drycha with norsca voiceover. Sorts itself out as soon as it recruits a regular chieftain though.

this is actually a very interesting idea for chaos. much like that lizard faction they released cant have settlements but they are gifted to vassals instead etc. might look into this. :)

It might still function but you are better off not trying it. I havent got the time anymore to update my mods unfortunately, but they are up for grabs if anyone wants to continue them or make their own versions, anyone is allowed to do anything with any part of any mod I made.

Yeah... No idea why I'm getting the Vampirate lord as well... I checked the mod file and can't explain where it's coming from...

I have no idea what in gods name ive done but the lord that spawned for the vassal faction was one of the vampirate male lords. The portrait and card were the vampirate but he had the same statline and voice of the norscan lord. I'm assuming this is some other mod I have but I'm not sure.

After some testing, I realized that I can colonize anywhere that isnt shrine of loec on ulthuan, not sure why that might be.

PS.a cult of pleasure version of this mod would be really cool, or the return of the skaven variant. Nosrcans are cool but as vassals they provide no income

I love the idea of this mod. However, I have gifted abt 15 settlements to Tides of Chaos and, nearly 100 turns in, they still only field a single stack. They should be one of the top 30 factions in the game, but are instead getting decimated by the Empire. I know they have enough economy to field 4-5 stacks, can you please fix this balance issue?

Could you make the option to gift the city to one of the Chaos Puppet factions? Combined with the Chaos Towers Mod a chaos outpost would apply a large garrison to avoid the annoying issues this one has, especially since the puppets cannot break away

The Norscan Hordes faction that you Gift settlements to always ends up rebelling / breaking vassalization. Watched them rebel and confederate with Graeling which basically handed 70% of Norsca back to independents. Happened again with Mung. Needs a fix, lame rn

if you want to be a passive faction for chaos, then make them to build in every city the garrison building. in this way they can manage to defend themselves. please, if you want, make a mod that make norsca factions to not break ever vaselage agreament with chaos after they agree with this treaty. just that and will be great. thnks for your mods.

The bug still persists. My Chaos Hordes faction has got over 20 settlements and they still have one army. I tried breaking the vassal and making them a military ally, but that doesn't work because the game makes them auto vassal you again... They are completely useless lol

Ahh nvm, turns out the mod doesn't work with Mixu's legendary lords if your using the chaos lord for some reason? (maybe its not a "proper" chaos faction?)

The one army bug should now be fixed for them, regarding the recruitment of weak units/stacks I made a couple of changes that might help as well, though not full stacks has mostly to do with their economy and the type of units with their personality, since it uses the personality of a minor norsca faction in order to make it so the player still has to pull most of the weight as chaos. Purpose of the mod was always mostly to have a way to largely avoid whack a mole and I never wanted the norsca vassals to be strong enough to conquer the world on their own.

Works fine, couple of issues though. I think the one army bug is affecting the faction and they seem to build really weak stacks, some of them arent even full just 16/20 etc.

I liberate some factions in that game and they had all options in diplomacy panel. Is very weird, because Varg was no vassal to anyone, they just had an alliance with Wulfrik. What i dont understand is why i had limited options in diplomacy panel with Varg faction. Anyway, i just want that everithing work well and i dont know the cause. Maybe the combination of this two mods produce this effect just for norsca factions. They all can be liberated but in this conditions. Just an assumtion, nothing more.

That is entirely up to the liberate factions mod, this gives the option ONLY to the main chaos faction and its impossible for other factions to use it given how it works.

Now i see that is no conflict in Kaedrin's mod manager with "liberate faction" mod, that means Wulfrik have the option to give settlements to a vassal with this mod. Maybe all norsca factions have this option, but just Wulfrik used in my game. Anyway, i saw that in 280 turn and I gave up the game.

I use a mod that allow me to liberate factions. In my game, Wulfrik liberated Varg faction. The problem is that the Varg faction have the same characteristics like the Nakay vassal. In diplomacy panel you just have two options. You can pay money or make war. Please make your mod to be compatible with liberate faction mod. I dont know, maybe now all Norsca factions have the option to give settlements to a vassal with this mod. Happy new year!

It is always a free outpost and it's a good way to rest your army. Problem is that everyone hates them and will dislike you for gifting new lands.

Base Norsca works better for conquering new lands. Skaven gives more income as a vassal. Probably because of a coward trait they fight less and build more. And this Norsca does as good watchtower for checking other lords.

It is functional, what Tem refers to is that hes unaware Norsca by default only upgrade coastal towns as part of their race mechanics, meaning that yes, they will not upgrade inland towns because in order for them to do so I would have to change how ALL norsca work by default. So the norsca vassal will train armies in inland towns and such but they will not upgrade the towns unless coastal. They are also designed to be weaker than a normal norsca vassal since their function isnt to replace them completely but being able to give settlements to a vassal with a garrison instead of leaving settleable ruins behind, and not meant to be stronger than the original norsca factions.

Without any grow and building slots they work as defenders. But it is still a bit weaker than normal norsca vassal as they don't give you any money.

I don't know what AI prioritizes but this Norsca don't upgrade towns at all. Even if I give them money they only recuit army.

Yup, just the script, basically the personality is now instead forced via scripts rather than tables.

The edits are in the mod, basically just replace everything on the script on the version you're making with what has been updated on the mod, would probably be easier for you to do that than pasting it from pastebin, so that you can see the script in its RPFM natural habitat
