I know this mod is functioning but a bug fix would be amazing.. :(
Bluetail 10 Sep, 2022 @ 3:11am
@scorp_poison it does work.
scorp_poison 25 Aug, 2022 @ 8:03pm
Is this mod no longer working?
I subscribed to it and enabled it in CIV 5 but I couldn't stack my scout onto my warrior.
steelpantherx 20 Mar, 2021 @ 3:15am
does stack UI work with this mod?
Vurrath 14 Feb, 2020 @ 11:55pm
hmm, also, you can't move onto allied units even when trying to move a non-combat onto a allied-combat, ie, combat should not be being initiated, whereas AI opponents can, move into yours!! major 1-way street. needs a few things like this fixed in V2, if one is made. Otherwise good.
Vurrath 14 Feb, 2020 @ 11:37pm
" To see which units are in a stack, mouse over the stack for a second and it will provide a list. " - not working for me..?
Vunu 10 Nov, 2019 @ 3:27am
is there a way to make it so if a tile is attacked, all units in that tile take damage?
AN/PVQ-31A 2 Oct, 2019 @ 9:37pm
i used to have the effects of this mod without ever subscribing. that's pretty interesting, and i'm going to subscribe because however that happened it's not happening anymore.
TheRoyalKrizza 18 Apr, 2018 @ 12:58pm
found out the hard way u literally can't attack the enemy if your city is under siege and you want to attack the seiging army's unit from within your city which has multiple units stacked in said city...imagine my dismay

My favorite part is the part in the description where it says "Strategy: I'll write this later."

thanks for mod! yes, going from unlimited stacks in Civ4 to one unit only in Civ5 is stupid!

[C3:M] Bubbanator 28 Jul, 2016 @ 10:25am
This is sortove what i was looking for. I was trying to find a mod that made it so you could make armys like in Civ IV but this is the closest i could find. Sounds awesome
jman99 22 Jul, 2016 @ 6:45am
defenitly going to try this mod out, but like you mentioned, it would be awesome if you could create bonuses for certain stack combos. Like if its a melee unit stacked with an archer of some kind then the archers could shoot some arrows before the enemy attacks your warriors. Or maybe if there's two musketmen then both lines of men could fire on the enemy instead of only one unit like would happen in a real battle. I have no idea how to mod, so I could never even begin to try to do this, but its defenitly fun to think about.
dnwn2800 26 Jun, 2016 @ 10:42pm
great mod. thanks

Hi there. I think this is a great mod, and can really enhance the game in many ways. There are two things which I believe could be added to make this mod fantastic.

First, it should be easily identifiable if the hex contains a stacked unit; for e.g. there may be an an icon hovering in the corner of unit or under the circular/triangular icon above each unit so that I instantly know it's a stacked tile. Second, I don't think that enemy Units should be allowed to stack on the same tile as the player; this is because it prevents the player from seeing all the enemy units.

I believe that if you could incorporate these two things, it would really make the mod great. Cheers.

How do I install this ????
InsertWeirdNameHere 14 May, 2016 @ 5:57pm
Before I download this, I wish to know, can the AI and Human or two AI's occupy the same tile?
nicewolf64 6 May, 2016 @ 2:07am
i've been playing with 3 units per hex for awhile. it makes a huge difference for the AI. the ai just has no clue how to move around when it cant stack. plus the human can no longer block stranglepoints with a single unit as the ai can now bring 3 units against it. not only that, but i see the ai defend ranged units much better now. i tried 2 and 4 lso, but 3 seems to hit the right nalance.
Eike 1 Mar, 2016 @ 10:12am
Hey, does someone know if this mod is playable in a local network multiplayer match ?
Thanks ;)
Deathwing 17 Feb, 2016 @ 7:38am
I was wondering, does it mean you can build 3 land units ? (not having the "one unit already in the city, move it and you can then build")
Sir_Thomas 30 Jan, 2016 @ 4:46pm
Thank you. Working fine. I think a stacking limit of three is just right. Not sure why people want unlimited stacking. When the AI used to do that it made me crazy. It took forever to root their units out. Thanks again.:steamhappy:

Hello! I absolutely love with this mod. It gives Civ 5 the much needed unit stacking mechanic but makes it better at the same time! Still, I think it could be better, mostly in the UI department. The only issue I have is not being able to tell if units are stacked or not. For example, if I have a warrior and an archer on one tile, it will only show one of those units. It just needs some way of telling me when I have units stacked. Other than that this is one of the best mods for Civ, in my opinion.

This mod doesn't work for me. I play with both expansions. Just does nothing.

игра с этим модом постоянно вылетает,а идея конечно хорошая. game with this spendthrift constantly takes off, and idea of course the good
Lord Davos 18 Aug, 2015 @ 4:19pm
How about allow unlimited stacking and the stacked units fight like 1 army so if enemy has army of 3 spearmen and i have army of 18 spearmen i instantly kill all 3 of their spearmen and i take a few casulties.
tehpoopie 15 Aug, 2015 @ 9:14am
@Moo Zedong Have you given any consideration to selective increases in Units Per Tile? For instance it isnt important for me to have more units on a random tile, but more units in a Fort or Citidel would not only be more realistic it would also help manage large standing armies. Just a thought, thanks for the mod.
n0p0inter 17 Jul, 2015 @ 9:34am
yes plleeeeeeaaaassseee try and make the army stacking thing from rev i loved that feature
blackarmyjacket 3 May, 2015 @ 4:53am
make it to where the first unit in the tile is the only civ that can stack, so basically al's can only stack on their own units
Vulpura 21 Apr, 2015 @ 3:12pm

allez encore un tour 20 Jan, 2015 @ 12:28pm
very nice idea

The weirdest thing happened. Been gaming fine with this mod, and saved my game last night with my artillery stacked nice with infantry for cover.
I load my savegame today, and hit Enter, as I had saved at the end of my turn. My turn again and units still stacked, but for some reason 2 of 3 units stacked say out of moves, and my cavalry can't go to a tile with one infantry. Hit Enter again to end turn, and as it's processing opposition turns, I can see my stacked units being separted into different tiles!?!
Not possible to restack.

Reloaded my savegame multiple times to test, but same thing. Disabling and re-enabling mod. Still no dice.

any ideas what's happened? Was literally a 5 hour window for sleep between it working fine and not at all.
Kronk with a Gun 12 Dec, 2014 @ 12:12pm
I think it would be cool if there was a mod/setting that made it so siege units and melee usints could be in the same tile. In reality, they didn't have a hole bunch of cannons in a field, they would have a few cannons surrounded by infantry units of some type. Just an idea..

Hey great mod. We need you over at Beyond Earth to do the same magic there ;)

@Argonian Brony
It probably wouldn't be hard at all. Of course, I will need Beyond Earth first...
Bunger With Bungus 26 Oct, 2014 @ 12:57pm
i was wondering if your planning to make this mod for beyond earth
Mr Rosary 8 Oct, 2014 @ 5:54pm
i just want you to keep up the good work, you don't need to do anything fancy and in reality a realistic 3 unit army would be 3 of one unit or 3 different units, like 2 archers and a warrior would get you a weak melee unit with a strong ranged attack or vise versa if swapped :D
Moo Zedong  [author] 8 Oct, 2014 @ 5:51pm
I know what you mean, I'm huge for realism in games. I kind of look at civ as a board game. It is by no means realistic. That's why I've shifted away from it and started playing games like Europa Universalis and Crusader Kings.
dichebach 8 Oct, 2014 @ 4:50am
Thanks for the response Moo. Main reason to have all combat take place in one tiles is a matter of scale. Civ games have always been ridiculous in scaling. Example: one city takes up one tile: this must be a rather large chunk of geography, perhaps 20 miles across? Five miles at least. But an "archer" can shoot arrows at tiles that are two TIMES that distance remote from his current tile!? Its so absurd as to be laughable. In reality, Bronze age bowmen might have been able to get an arrow out to 100, maybe 200 yards, less than one-tenth of a mile. So if we accept that the scale is infact defined by the range of a bowman, then each tile must be about 60 yards across, and an entire city can fit in a hex 60 yards across!? Again ridiculous.

This is why I may never get deeply into the game. I'm a big realism junkie. Making them all fight in one hex would be more realistic, even if the animations looked like crap.
Moo Zedong  [author] 7 Oct, 2014 @ 10:00am
@G0DFIRE
I know I said I would try to make a mixed army like in Civ Rev, but I haven't been able to accomplish anything of the sort. I probably won't find out how, but if I do I think I'll make a new mod with more features.
Mr Rosary 6 Oct, 2014 @ 8:11pm
i'm hoping that this will get amazing as time goes by
like adding 1 or 2 anti tank guns to 1 or 2 bazookas would make one Tank Hunter Army (as it's default name) or have 3 AT guns TD army or 3 Bazookas to get 1 Tank Hunter unit (strong like an army but acts as one unit that needs it's own tile) ((that way there is no super stack))
Moo Zedong  [author] 4 Oct, 2014 @ 8:32pm
Sorry for the long response
