But yeah the levels supposed to be pitch black because Hat Kid emits light around her and you're also supposed to be drawn towards things that actually stand out in the darkness like sparse lighting and collectables. Sorry you had trouble with the lighting/crashing but thanks for giving it a go anyway! <3
@Rogenriganz yeah I'm not surprised there's typos; my keyboard dies sometimes... just imagine louise is still learning her spelling its fiiine ;)
-Added an invisible wall so you cant get on the third floor and oob!!
-Vault is now yellow to match tickets and it now gives off the lines the show where the tickets are! (Since you're so far away from most of them its hard to actually follow the lines to where the tickets are but its better than nothing!)
-Put some planks on the banister where a ticket is so its easier to stand up there to grab it
sorry about posting this comment like 4 times lmao i kept messing up the formatting
@26thulu62 Ah heck you're the second person whose come to me saying its too dark, whilst i intended it to be really dark for immersion sake it shouldnt be so dark you cant see ANYTHING....there should be some light that emits around hat kid so i think that bugs out sometimes? idk... hope you could still enjoy it!
yep! you got that all correct ;D the door to the fathers room does say he went "bye bye" but its never actually revealed How but it is implied he just up and "disappeared" like, out of the blue. Louise does talk about how she just wants him to disappear so it's up to you how you think he went! :D
Also, lemme see I have this right:
The mom died via getting crushed by a tree,
The Grandma died via slipping in the shower,
The Grandpa fell down the stairs,
The dog was drowned and later revived by the Time Piece Louise found,
And while Louise herself lived, she murdered her sister as an act of revenge for killing the dog.
The workers quit, and Louise and the newly-revived Paws left ages ago. So what happened to the Dad? He was the most abusive (implied), but I couldn't find when he went "Bye-bye." Though it ends in a wine cellar, so I assume he drank himself to death or Louise poisoned his drink. Is that right, or was it something else?
@leom2552 ahaa nice catch I hadn't realised id done that oops ;D but yeah you could probably explain it via time manipulation if you reeeally wanted to, Louise did do some pretty messed up things with that time piece!! but yeah that is a mess up on my part due to writing it all out too fast lmao
not all of the diaries have a specific order to them though and louise has added on bits at a later date to some so she could have spoken about her dog drowning in two different diaries before bringing it back to life and writing about it again but thanks for the feedback! i can always revise some of it at a later date considering im not in crunch mode anymore ;)
@Hackerham The reason only one has a glowing aura is because if there was an aura on all of them then it'd be way too obvious and would be against what i designed. I designed the manor so you'd have to read the diaries to figure out what you need to do kind of like those old resident evil games...
I made both the cabinets you need to break look exactly the same and there's only 3 that look like that in the manor so it shouldn't be that hard to find! Besides they do give you a "swap hat" prompt when you walk up to them, you just need to look around and use your head a lil!
(also can you show me where you got out of bounds? It'd be nice to patch that up!)
the second cabinet to break is in the dinning room literally right next to the diary that tells you Louise has been hiding things in cabinets lmao
thanks for the feedback! <3
But there is bad stuff, namely the two vault codes hidden within the breakable cabinets. You need to make those more obvious, give them the glow that's usually on that sort of thing. Also, side note, but I noticed that the diary in the kitchen has it's options as "standard link". Not a modder, but that's probably not intentional.
Otherwise, I like it.
