omg,thanks for update

@ShiftyNoob7 I have bumped into such an issue before. In my case it was caused by changing mods that add extra flag colors (and maybe backgrounds? not sure as it has been some time). Apparently If the new colors don't also include the same as the previous one with the same "pointers" the game can lose track. The randomization is a sort of failsafe so there is a flag at least.

If you notice your list of created empires all getting black-color flags that is a sign of such an issue. You can re-edit your empires but on an existing save you'd need to delve into save-editing

Works in 3.12 Machine Age.
Sombraletal 7 Oct, 2023 @ 3:36am
Your mod works fine for me so far, I have no issues when reloading a game and random flags appearing on empires. There's another mod with a massive collection that combines several mods of flags and backgrounds that does have this issue. It's the reason I changed to this mod
Condutiarii  [author] 6 Oct, 2023 @ 4:46pm
@ShiftyNoob7 and @Sombraletal: I don't have any of the issues you describe. Unfortunately, I'm not much help in solving this issue. My mod is just a collection of images, there's no code that could alter the way the game works. Have you tried running a file integrity check on Steam?
Sombraletal 6 Oct, 2023 @ 7:02am
I don't have that issue with this mod, I have the problem of random flags with the mod that combines all the flags so I stopped using that one
ShiftyNoob7 4 Oct, 2023 @ 1:32pm
@Condutiarii I love your mod and been a fan for a long time, but I've recently run into an issue. It seems that everytime I exit and reload a saved game, my empire flags are randomised. The flags remain correct on the empire creation screen but are randomised every time I load a saved game. I don't see anyone else mention this when I had a quick look through the comments. Would you perhaps know what is causing this?
Condutiarii  [author] 25 Sep, 2023 @ 2:28pm
@Beaver : Thanks, you just reminded me that I forgot to change it on the Paradox mod update tool. I'll change it :lunar2019grinningpig:
Beaver 25 Sep, 2023 @ 8:58am
my mod manager says this is achieve compatible... weird. Oooh Stellaris does too! Maybe you should change the description lol... or am I wrong?
Condutiarii  [author] 15 Sep, 2023 @ 10:35am
@Игорь Днепрянин : I'll do it this weekend
ЛюбительЧая 13 Sep, 2023 @ 8:34am
please, patch for 3.9

@Bardagh : Yes
Bardagh 26 Jun, 2023 @ 3:30pm
Does this work with Expanded Colors?
Condutiarii  [author] 4 Mar, 2023 @ 2:06pm
As far as I was concerned, I was caught up in everyday life and I had put aside Stellaris. I just updated the mod.
Ghost Fox 3 Mar, 2023 @ 9:56pm
Look a couple comments down, maybe?
cojoes 3 Mar, 2023 @ 9:49pm
Does this work with v3.6.1 (Orion)?
Lordlony 15 Jan, 2023 @ 5:43am
Appears to work fine.
98cb2189 14 Jan, 2023 @ 8:32pm
It's working for me with 3.6.1 (or whatever the current version is), and yes, it's compatible with Ironman and Steam achievements.

No problems with this mod so far.
joakim.westergaard 2 Dec, 2022 @ 11:15pm
Any experiences with 3.6?
Lordlony 27 Sep, 2022 @ 3:32pm
I think the launcher used to give that warning about every mod :D
I'd recommend Irony Mod Manager [bcssov.github.io]-
Mod Manager for Paradox Games
It tells you if a mod will break an achievement or not without the need to launch the game.
Condutiarii  [author] 27 Sep, 2022 @ 3:17pm
Hi everyone. I will update the mod as soon as possible. Regarding the Steam achievements, I think I had modified the description because an alert on the Paradox launcher mod tool seemed to indicate it. It's possible that it's an error from the launcher or from me, but whatever, if the achievements seem to work then I'll remove the warning that doesn't need to be there. Thanks for the feedback.
Ghost Fox 27 Sep, 2022 @ 4:48am
Yes. I was answering "why might the description say it breaks achievements", not "does this actually break achievements".
Lordlony 27 Sep, 2022 @ 1:05am
We just said it doesn't affect achievements, no assumptions required.
There are no edits to the common files in here, just flags and localisation, so achievements remain intact.
Ghost Fox 26 Sep, 2022 @ 7:45pm
I can't say for sure, but it's at least safer to assume that a mod will break achievements on a Paradox game.
Neverminder 26 Sep, 2022 @ 3:04am
yep, just tested it. it definitely works, dunno why the description says it breaks them
Lordlony 25 Sep, 2022 @ 11:47pm
It doesn't.
Neverminder 25 Sep, 2022 @ 7:24pm
i wonder why this breaks achieves when others don't?
Lordlony 10 Sep, 2022 @ 1:20am
You can change this yourself by editing the .txt file in the flags folder.
chornobyl 9 Sep, 2022 @ 3:53pm
How the IA can not use it?
Baka Racker 5 Jun, 2022 @ 5:29am
@Condutiarii Indeed, it is working fine for me. Thanks for the variety!
Condutiarii  [author] 5 Jun, 2022 @ 1:40am
As far as I'm concerned, I don't have any compatibility problems with the latest version, so there's no reason why it shouldn't be for you. If it was the case, I would have specified it on the description.
Baka Racker 4 Jun, 2022 @ 5:56pm
@Beaver Gonna assume it worked for you?
Condutiarii  [author] 12 May, 2022 @ 10:31am
The format of the flags has not changed, so there should be no problems except that you should have more flags. :Hire:
Porkenstein 12 May, 2022 @ 9:54am
Anyone know if this is compatible with 3.4's new backgrounds?
Condutiarii  [author] 20 Feb, 2022 @ 2:35pm
@Lordlony : You specify the sources that constitute your mod so I have no objection.
Lordlony 20 Feb, 2022 @ 1:14pm
@Condutiarii:
Would you be alright with the fact I have created a merge including your mod Flags, Emblems n Crests Merged
iankarlo2006 14 Jan, 2022 @ 10:17pm
the scrollbar isn't visible or usable for me, what can I do
Condutiarii  [author] 17 Dec, 2021 @ 9:45am
No worries and good game!
spincrus 17 Dec, 2021 @ 6:35am
I'm sorry, false alarm! I apparently did not deactivate a mod (a "better human portraits" type mod) that actually changed the flags.
Condutiarii  [author] 16 Dec, 2021 @ 12:49pm
Hi sprincrus, I'm sorry but I don't see any difference... what is this wave you are talking about? Are you sure it's not another mod that replaces the originals with new flags with a wave? I looked at the original files, they haven't changed since my first mod was created...
spincrus 16 Dec, 2021 @ 11:46am
Great mod, have been a fan for a long time (including the old version). I believe the newest update 3.2.2 has also brought about a change in the style of flags, adding a wavy overlay to them. Now all modded flag backgrounds suffer from not having this wave, unfortunately. It wasn't really a modder-friendly move by Paradox here.
BlindProphetess 25 Nov, 2021 @ 2:19pm
thank you!!!
Condutiarii  [author] 23 Nov, 2021 @ 3:37pm
@joakim.westergaard : done :)
joakim.westergaard 23 Nov, 2021 @ 1:59am
Sorry for asking but does this work with 3.2?
BlindProphetess 5 Nov, 2021 @ 2:03pm
Thank you!
Condutiarii  [author] 3 Nov, 2021 @ 3:37pm
@BlindProphetess : done !
BlindProphetess 1 Nov, 2021 @ 10:12pm
Any mod updates planned for v3.1.2? Stellaris says the current mod doesn't work anymore.
BMW Oracle 26 Sep, 2021 @ 1:02pm
Ah, thank you, was looking for a mod such as this. Can't wait to build me a new empire and try it out. xD
