Deeply regret not getting video footage of it before the Paint update released and killed the bizarre effects (hinted in screenshots). Only a handful of people witnessed it*. It seemed like it was alive when viewed from 50-100 blocks away. I once sat watching it for nearly two hours, trying to detect a repeating pattern in the shifting colours and lights.... I could not.
Bare in-mind the only actual animated effects (with G.chmbrs) were in the blueish light at the top, everything else was generated by single blobs of Lava with their slow flowing motion inside Ice containers (in the gap between each pyramid level), no paint, no nearby lightsouces to affect colour, and yet it moved through every colour in the spectrum, except green, it would kinda cycle from yellow into cyan/turquoise then blue.

* I'm hoping one of the players who downloaded and built it within the first few weeks of workshop release got to experience it ...and maybe streamed or recorded it?

Thanks a lot for making me as a contributor. ^^
I mainly used the spot, liked it a lot due to being highly effective and mainly enjoyed the creative sculpture you gaze upon when you enter the building (while above it you get the mob killer and dropped bags counter). ;D

DAMN ouch look awesome but still getting FPS LAG 1FPS just looking at it

Yeah, the lava in the containers is animated. It was built before the paint update, as a less laggy alternative you could replace the Ice-containers with canvas walls or empty ice containers, then paint each level of them using the brightest colours (in the first paint column) and turn the glow up to maximum. It won't have the shimmering effect but it should still look okay :)

I actually made another version of the ufo (for my 2nd world: serenity-four) it's all white and the lights are rainbow coloured, you should go visit it -I did something interesting with the crystal sculpture in the middle (I wouldn't mind if you copy it).

i loved it but damn getting major FPS drops due to the ice containers which needs a load of graphics RSS (FPS DROPPER) Graphics Burner :steamsad:

I'm glad you like it :) Hope it's not causing too much lag

I persevered and finished the build. Love it.

Probably too late to tell you, but you can make fossils from bones in either the forge or processor (I forget which)

Thanks for suggestions. I did go to support. They were very helpful. It is the frozen containers with added graphics that cause lag. So I needed to place those last.. Unfortunately they were a lot easier to make than having to mine lots of fossils.

Sounds like a technical issue, try contacting playful support through the steam forum, or if you're on Discord try there, either way Entuland (Playful's support guru) should be able to help :)
...I can say: there's no block phasers (or many machines at all). I could suggest a recommended 'build order' to make construction easier: First place all (normal) Asphalt blocks, then all the Asphalt Slopes (and corners), then the Frozen containers, then the Asphalt Slabs, then everything else, hope that's some help to you :)

I'm half way through building and finding that my cursor won't settle . It's really hard to place blocks. I normally only have this problem with large amount of block phasers. Is there a trick to help make this smoother please?

This thing looks soooo much better without minimal graphics settings. :p2cube: Excellent work!
