The mod just adds the moon visual right? it doesn't start the event by default?

I know this is old af but I recently found it and was curious if enabling the Extinction level event on a non dedicated session was possible? I've been all over google and can't find anything that helps so this is my last stop.

The setting will definitely wipe the map automatically once the timer runs out but it's just the mod I was looking for thank you!

An "Extinction Event" is a server mode where there is a countdown to a server wipe and as time goes on an Asteroid is seen in the sky getting closer and closer and when the countdown hits zero it wipes anyone and anything still on the server.

It is usually used for either servers that are a race to see who can do what in a given amount of time, or to let people know that the server is going to be reset and you have x amount of time until it happens to transfer off or to do what you want to do before the reset happens.

It is a simple server configuration setting. Check out the official wiki for more info.

You can start the event by putting this in your server startup file, but once the countdown is complete it may reset your map (This is untested).
"?ExtinctionEventTimeInterval=2592000" Use this to enable extinction for 30 days. The number is the time in seconds.
