Due to the latest Update, the Hitbox of the Passage way blocks that were placed in front of the Rocket Launchers was altered. This caused some rockets to get stuck in them and detonate. These blocks have now been replaced to fix this issue.

However, the Angurvadal is in dire need of a proper update to meet acceptable fleet standards again. A major overhaul of the entire vessel will be deployed very soon.

I'm sorry, did you even test it? It literally blows itself up with rockets whenever I engage in combat. I don't know maybe I'm doing something wrong

hi @Taidyr, thanks for the responce, i have also changed to an Nvidia card in the last few weeks so i havent had much time to mess around with ansel, ill try out GIMP and ill get back to you if i have some success. thanks again for the advice!

Taidyr  [author] 28 Sep, 2020 @ 2:39am
Hey @Xenon, please excuse my late respone. I've got a weird technical issue which stops sending me notifications for some of my workhop items.
I use high resolutions (4k+), max graphic settings and low fov for screenshots. I also switched to an nvidea card during this build and started using Ansel.
After capture, I resize the screenshots to 1080p with GIMP and convert them to .jpg with quality settings at 98. The final image should be below 2 mb. If you don't like Gimp, You should be able to do this with any other availabe open source editing software. Also IrfanView has very useful tools for batch-conversion.
Hornet 31 Aug, 2020 @ 11:19pm
i love the way that the screenshots look, how do you get them like that? also im having trouble getting screenshots below 2mb for a ship on the workshop, could you help or point me in the right direction?
thanks!

@Senanthes: You are free to create and publish you own modified version as long as you provide a link to the original file in the description. Go nuts!
Senanthes 6 Jun, 2020 @ 3:48pm
Along with a soon to be released first original design, I've been tinkering with one of these, mostly with a reconfigured interior, and the addition of guided weaponry. Would you mind if, with due credit given to you, I put that up as a part of the fleet lineup I'm slowly assembling?

@MadGosuChild: (S)pace.(M)ilitary(L)arge grid
MadGosuChild 16 May, 2020 @ 1:50pm
So in the naming scheme RAD stands for rocket artillery destroyer, but what does the S.ML stand for? Just trying to come up with ideas for my own block naming scheme

Thank you for this amazing ship and props for building it right up.
Taidyr  [author] 31 Jan, 2020 @ 6:14am
@pobblebonk: Yeah, that's okay. This is basicly just a manufacturer-code that I use to seperate ships when multiple of them are docked to the same grid. Sry I haven't published the guide yet. Takes longer than expected and I'm also working on an overhaul for the whole system.
pobblebonk 30 Jan, 2020 @ 1:27pm
completely rehauling this with more scripts mods and 2 more nacelles, is the ship name S.ML-LDAD-02 lore compatible?
CrimsonAdder 19 Jan, 2020 @ 12:34pm
Oh wow, here I was thinking they are custom planets or something. I'm currently salivating over your screenshot skills.
Taidyr  [author] 19 Jan, 2020 @ 12:32pm
@CrimsonAdder: Mars, Europa and Earth for the landing.
CrimsonAdder 19 Jan, 2020 @ 12:03pm
Out of curiosity- What planets did you use for these shots?
Yakez 21 Nov, 2019 @ 3:14pm
Mashed this design with some intense heavy armor and other Rocinante models from workshop.

Got quite heavy to feel good without gravity drive, but man, layout is so nice to jam pack everything and have huge forward weapon battery. Was able to cluster 4 hydro engines quite well and still leave this feel of "one big engine".

@Lt.Starbound: Believe it or not: It is. ;)
Rhea.licious 15 Nov, 2019 @ 4:02pm
I'll have to check mine then since this can't possibly only be as big as my ship.
Taidyr  [author] 15 Nov, 2019 @ 9:54am
@Lt.Starbound: I checked again and the dimensions are correct. The Angurvadal is 39 blocks long, with one block having an edge to edge lenght of 2.5 meters, which equals a total of 97.5 meters.

The Enforcer actually has the same length as this vessel, if you count in the antennas.
Rhea.licious 15 Nov, 2019 @ 1:06am
"Dimensions:
Length: 97.5 m
Hight: 27.5 m
Width: 30 m"

Pretty certain this is longer than 97.5 m since my corvette is 97.5 m long.
Taidyr  [author] 10 Nov, 2019 @ 10:51am
@MadGosuChild: Oh, didn't thought about that. Thanks for sharing!
MadGosuChild 9 Nov, 2019 @ 3:01am
@Taidyr Found out how to remove the black lines! Just turn ambient occlusion off
Taidyr  [author] 6 Nov, 2019 @ 4:06pm
@MadGosuChild: No problem. Have fun experimenting! Saw the pics on the Keen-discord and I'm quite curious how it will turn out.
MadGosuChild 6 Nov, 2019 @ 2:58pm
ok, I'll have to do a bit more experimenting to find the sweet spot, thanks
Taidyr  [author] 6 Nov, 2019 @ 2:53pm
@MadGosuChild: I've had the same problem and have not found a solution yet. Ansel allows for lower fov than the game settings but the lines appear as well. I just went as far as I could get before the artifacts got to heavy.
MadGosuChild 6 Nov, 2019 @ 2:42pm
Thanks for the tips on file size, they were really helpful. One more question though, for the blueprint diagram, how did you manage to take a photo of the ship with no depth? The method I use of taking a photo really far away with low FOV leaves black lines on the ship, which makes the wireframe look really noisy.
Dondelium 2 Nov, 2019 @ 11:43am
God I love the vertical (Expanse like) interiors. They just make so much more sense.
Taidyr  [author] 2 Nov, 2019 @ 1:09am
@5URG3: Yeah, I was holding back the true number on purpose so your opponents don't know the whole potential of the ship! :O

Actually this vessel had 18 Rocket Launchers as well but I decided to downsize as it felt overkill and also became hard to fit them under the armor-shielding without having the ship hit itself. I then replaced 18 with 12 in the description text via editor without thinking about the turrets. Sorry for the confusion!
5URG3 1 Nov, 2019 @ 4:07pm
Hey, I just tried this out in game and noticed it has 18 Missile Turrets, not 12.

The salvo is pretty savage!
Avelius 1 Nov, 2019 @ 12:10pm
Hut ab. Klasse Design! :D
RandomGuy0400 1 Nov, 2019 @ 4:44am
funnily enough, i was planning on building a ship with a similar shape to this awhile back. The main differences was that the thruster pods would be slightly further from the main body, and the front would have a ramp leading to a hanger.
Taidyr  [author] 31 Oct, 2019 @ 11:12am
@Adyne: Thank you very much! Hard to remember which block I placed first, but I did start out with the Thruster-compartment on this one.
Taidyr  [author] 31 Oct, 2019 @ 11:10am
Adyne 31 Oct, 2019 @ 9:49am
Really nice ship. A lot of people have to choose between looks and performance while you successfully did both. Nice work.
One question though, with what block did you start?
Firebird_528 31 Oct, 2019 @ 5:37am
Taidyr  [author] 31 Oct, 2019 @ 1:03am
@5URG3: Thank you! I tried to make this a capable combat vessel and to be a valid choise for pvp. Unfortunately I currently live in an area with terrible Internet-Connection and complex multiplayer battles are beyond its capabilities. So I have to rely a lot on feedback from friends and other people to optimize my build in this area.

Pretty much all my submissions get a downvote shortly after I upload them. Not sure why, but I guess most ppl who provide somewhat successful content have to deal with this at some point.
Taidyr  [author] 31 Oct, 2019 @ 12:42am
@MadGosuChild: You can get pretty detailed screenshots by using the ingame-capture (F4) instead of steam. Check the settings and chose a resolution above 2x. When you downsize them afterwards because of a filesize limit, they will still look better than screenshots taken with native resolution.
5URG3 30 Oct, 2019 @ 10:06am
Beautiful build. Looks effective too, that's some solid dakka. RFS. :selike:

May Clang take the bastard that downvoted it.
MadGosuChild 30 Oct, 2019 @ 9:58am
Looks amazing! Though I have to ask, how do you manage to get such high quality images without going over the 8MB limit?
Emiricol4Rl 29 Oct, 2019 @ 11:20pm
Yet another *amazing*-looking Taidyr production :) I swear I end up using half the ships you design on a regular basis.
Almirante Orlock 29 Oct, 2019 @ 6:13pm
Awesome ship! Good job dude :D
Rhea.licious 29 Oct, 2019 @ 3:49pm
Love it!
Taidyr  [author] 29 Oct, 2019 @ 3:11pm
Found the problem! Learned a valuable lesson about blueprints within blueprints...

The ship is safe to use now!
Taidyr  [author] 29 Oct, 2019 @ 1:50pm
Attention! Something's seriously wrong with the blueprint (mind the file-size). Trying to fix this...
J4R 29 Oct, 2019 @ 1:15pm
Definitely is not a replica, there is a lot of unique elements to your design, for exyample the overall rounded shape and the missile turret banks along the side.

I can't stress enough how great this looks! It makes me fire up the game!
Taidyr  [author] 29 Oct, 2019 @ 1:11pm
@Doctor Budgie:
Thank you! And yes, this ship was heavily inspired by the Expanse. Even though I didn't intend to replicate the Donnager. ;)
J4R 29 Oct, 2019 @ 12:51pm
I sense Donnager vibes. What a beautiful ship!
