I actually mounted them on rotors (on the same grid) to get the perfect angle, but I've found it to be pretty reliable to just use a tugboat and turn the connector strength to zero. If you don't like the connector mount, you can also replace it with a adv. rotor and attach one of the rotor mounted guns from here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1772450971

how did you manage to get the connectors to the gatling guns exactly on spot? i can't seem to recreate it in survival.

k
Major Jon  [author] 4 Nov, 2019 @ 9:32am
Yeah I know, I might update my old speederbikes at some point. Or maybe I'll just make new ones, that's probably easier.
Quickshadow10m 4 Nov, 2019 @ 9:14am
U know, they are adding a control seat to small grid things, so no more passenger seats!

You make some of the best ships,
Tempus loop 4 Nov, 2019 @ 2:13am
Oh, Thanks

What is the mod for this Miracle *?*
Tempus loop 3 Nov, 2019 @ 10:18am
And why the tracers from Gatling orange? What is the mod for this Miracle!
Major Jon  [author] 3 Nov, 2019 @ 8:47am
It's just a one time thing, probably the last ship with supergrid blocks I'll ever build :D
It's also way cooler than just a seat
Echo Mande 3 Nov, 2019 @ 8:39am
Please, no supergridding. It makes me grumpy and wish for all sorts of mods instead. Especially if it's about seats. The one time I had supergridding turned off the game tried to attach large grid 3x3 wheels to my small grid 3x3 suspension. I wasn't amused.
Major Jon  [author] 3 Nov, 2019 @ 5:06am
Something never seen on the workshop before ;) All I can say is there's some serious supergridding going on.

The satisfying feeling when your upvote is the one that gets a submission on the FP. :D

Another great explorer! I like the interchangeable guns idea, and the convergence. What's next?
Major Jon  [author] 30 Oct, 2019 @ 6:35pm
Oh thats what you meant by harmonization, didn't know that term. Yeah you can basically connect connectors at all kinds of weird angles and even with like a 1 m gap in between or so. I basically put the guns on rotors right next to the connector, turned connector strength to zero and rotated them carefully by ~0.6° inwards before attaching them. You can achieve the same effect without all the rotor setup stuff in survival by just holding the guns with a tugboat and slightly angling it.
Echo Mande 30 Oct, 2019 @ 5:30pm
And the harmonization? You say that the gunfire harmonized (angled in) to merge at 500-600m.
Major Jon  [author] 30 Oct, 2019 @ 12:59pm
The guns are mounted with connectors. Since a recent update the connectors stay connected even when the ship is turned off. Each gun has a timer triggering itself constantly and locking the connector again. That way pressing 'p' doesn't disconnect them. Essentially the same as with advanced rotors, just better.
Echo Mande 30 Oct, 2019 @ 12:21pm
Looks good. It's a cheap(ish) orbital shuttle and doesn't pretend to be more. Also not too much grinding to do after printing.

One question though. Precisely how are the guns harmonised and how do they stay on the craft?
Endarkaris 30 Oct, 2019 @ 11:33am
Nice ship
Quickshadow10m 30 Oct, 2019 @ 8:43am
Hey, I want a ship I can use in my creative worlds to boss my freind, could U make a battleship that works like that? I would like torpeadows, perferably with Easy lidar missile guiding script.:steamhappy: Great job BTW, I am followed.
Obaen 29 Oct, 2019 @ 9:11pm
i have to say, you builds are some of my all time favorites. Good Job!

Always tasteful! Love the designs!
