This mod is truly harrowing and uncomfortable. You nailed the atmosphere incredibly!
The one minor criticism I have about the level itself is that the rooms are too big. Would be better if you left Hat Kid's dive/sprint/scooter enabled or scaled everything down.
if at all possible it'd be awesome if the game checked which kid you're playing as, so if you're playing as bow it will show hat kid in bed at the end! i first watched this mod played by my friend who always plays as bow kid and the ending had me confused for quite some time until i realized the outfit was different
aside from that little nitpick the mod was awesome and i loved all the suspense! i may not be one for horror all the time but that's a gold star from me!
That aside, I think I remember writing in a discussion that I would have loved to see a level inspired by Stranger Things . Now, all that's left is to get Dustin's hat in the game... and as of Stranger Things 3 , there are now two of them. The level looks great, by the way.
I mean, boomer dads saying SKSKSKSK and sending minion memes?!
That's just grade A horror right there!
Also the mutant conductor, but yeah that fuckin minion meme tho
@houkou im working on an update rn that "fixes" all those bugs. thanks for pointing them out!
I also ran into a bug where when the creature finally reveals itself, it... Doesn't. The coughing plays, but the creature never attacks .
The map is otherwise quite good! Has great atmosphere, and the ending was suitably haunting.
I did find a couple of technical/execution errors though. First is that it's easy to completely miss the first spook in the Lab just by staying in the room with the switch (I didn't even notice the first time since I was too busy checking the room out). It's also possible to talk to the Conductor out-of-order outside the Safe Room, since his third dialog trigger is so close to the wall.
