Sorted - Squad starts in the Helo.

The bad link message comes up after bis make changes to the maps. For example - in this mission, the officers have waypoints attached to buildings. When an update changes locations it causes this message. A simple resave an repost will sort it - it'll also stop everyone's saves from working, so I tend to avoid it unless I have to.

I've been meaning to go back and put the squad in the hummingbird with the player as the pilot - I couldn't get the spotter in the other front seat. I've found out how to do it now (turret, who knew?), but I've not got round to sorting it yet. The engine on is a relic of my attempts to start the squad in the helo - I wanted a quick start, from the ground, so that you could keep up with the other helos.

When loading the mission it says "contains bad link to a static object, resave in mission editor". Also the littlebird has no crew in it, although its engine is running.

ah, now - there was a reason for not putting the squad in the helo at the start as I couldn't get them all in - I now know how to get the spotter/commander to start in a hummingbord, so I may change that.

It's really difficult to rate and criticize scenarios like these that serve as a referance and tribute to a movie, admirable movie of great quality to that. Maybe it needs a bit of background like what is the point of this mission. Music to keep the player entertained while traveling to the AAF forces would be also good and at the start you should probably put the player and his squad already in the chopper. Other than that... great, enjoyed it quite a lot.

Great mission! Took me about 40 min and had a blast the whole way through. Esspecially in Pyragos. When it came to the end, I walked away, i'm no assassin.

If you get in first then select all the first option should be get in. if you don't want to fly yourself (and I really suggest you do) select all then point at the chopper. Get in will be the default option.

Are you flying the helo yourself or relying on the AI? take control yourself and go in low and fast. Just remember that you don't have to be the first pair of boots on the ground

That seems to have sorted it - Pyrgos is a much more dangerous place, and I've managed to keep all 3 targets active.

There seems to be a known issue with having too much ai running about at once, so I'm going to focus the Pyrgos assault into 2 main fights rather than the sprawling mess I intended it to be and see if that helps - new version tonight, hopefully.

I've removed the UPS script, which seems to have made more units properly hostile - I'm at something of a loss - I'll have to pick this up tomorrow, though.

Also I forgot, got this mixed up with another mission - the enemy AI in the town would not shoot at anything. At all. So that was weird. :KSmiley:
