hey everyone sorry I haven't updated this. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2384705611 Please go to this mod it is a work around to make factories cheaper to build instead of lowering costs for production. Reason I did this was because everytime hoi4 added stuff to the tech tree I would have to remake the mod. This will be alot easier for me to upkeep

Could you make a Kaiserreich version? Kaiserreich's resources are really poorly distributed

That would be really great wouldn't it?
Thenashness 10 Feb, 2020 @ 1:37am
Would of been really good if you could achieve these resource potentials through events and decisions that require alot of political power/factories
Kynigoos 9 Feb, 2020 @ 9:33am
Turkey doesnt have that much oil at all.

Could you please make these Realistic mods compatible with Road to 56?
Jmattspartacus 22 Nov, 2019 @ 9:21pm
Not entirely sure that's possible in the framework the game devs have put together, it's possible to build buildings that produce resources, but not to define where they can and can't be built afaik.
Ryan 22 Nov, 2019 @ 9:23am
Oodler1's suggestion is more about realism than what this mod claims to be. The mod is really alternate history in that all the oil fields are already developed when in reality they were not during this time. I like the idea of being able to develop the untapped resources, but having the oil fields already in production at the start of the game is not realistic.

update
C-Ri 14 Nov, 2019 @ 2:03am
Yea pretty sure we need other people in the team if that's going to be achieved
Oodler1 13 Nov, 2019 @ 4:03pm
I believe an EVEN MORE realistic approach would be to create a "potential" resource system that allows development of an area's resources to be much greater than in the base game. For example, turning saudi arabia's small oil supply in the base game to the massive reserve it is today.
FinaSkies50 13 Nov, 2019 @ 11:35am
mmmmm more oil
spartan1096 10 Nov, 2019 @ 6:59am
Would you kindly add a little oil in Shaan Xi?There is Yanchang oilfield which is China's first on-land oilfield and one of the major economic sources of communist china in 1930s and 40s
EK0  [author] 8 Nov, 2019 @ 9:33pm
thanks casearis you encapulated perfectly what this mod aims to do
casearis 8 Nov, 2019 @ 6:38pm
Technology, demand/will/desire and geopolitics
casearis 8 Nov, 2019 @ 6:36pm
There seams to be some confusion about the distinction between the time when resource deposits existed and when they were exploited no doubt a result of how the game handles resources. Turkey's oil fields cold have been exploited (discovered) in the 1030s or 1940s given the technology had someone bothered to explore those areas since the oil fields (deposits) have been there fore millions of years. Most of the Uranium deposits in U.S. were undeveloped until the 1940s and 1950s not because they did know where the Uranium or was but because up until then only a hand full of researches had a use for it. The Romans new about oil they just did not have any real use for it. The first oil fields actually developed prior to the industrial revolution (that includes cars) using the same techniques as water wells (windmills) no they were not deep or under a lot of pressure but they meet demands at the time The first steam engines were lubricated with crude oil.

Yeah, this mod has not been created with true historiography. It is well intentioned, but naive in execution.
Egît 8 Nov, 2019 @ 1:44pm
İs this mod good for germany or soviet ?
Ryan 8 Nov, 2019 @ 8:14am
This mod does not appear to be realistic per the time period. Maybe it is realistic for the year 2010. For example, you posted a wikipedia article to Turkey's oil fields. Turkey's largest oil field was discovered in 1961. All the other oil fields began production well after WW2. I wouldn't call this realistic.

Is there a spreadsheet that lists each state's resources found in this mod, "Realistic Resources".

If so, where could one find this spreadsheet?
