hm, I thought I put electric connections down there... there are certainly high voltage linens going to wilsonville in real life... my bad! I do hope you enjoy the challenge either way!

Very difficult map to play. My usual strategies haven't worked because of the lack of electric connections to neighboring Soviet Republics and the distance that flat land with coal is from the edges of the map, so I'm being forced to develop some new ones.

@Pozzy Thump I've lived in Portland almost my whole life so I feel a lot of things about this place ;) Hope you enjoy recreating it. I thought about labeling all the neighborhoods but I figured someone who was gonna build on the map could do it themselves, if they wanted to. Let me know how the resources work out, I tried to scatter them logically while leaving a challenge for the player :cleandino:

This seems like a great map... I can't wait to tackle it and include all the walking paths (and the Wildwood trails, Marquam shelter trail, trails around Lewis & Clark) as lighter dirt trails. Including out to Lake Oswego, Milwaukie, Ainsworth, Wanker's Corner, maybe even Wilsonville, Troutdale, and Sandy. Lots of good trail memories running & racing there.
Sounds like you feel about the Rose City as I feel about Coeur d'Alene, with the snotty look-at-me-I-have-a-wine-cooler-and-earbuds-therefore-you-might-not-be-good-enough-for-me group.

By 2050, trump, at 104 years old, was getting daily transfusions of all genetics from the caged & chained Melania. He had decided Portland would be a ripe area to breed an army, even though his ignorance of climate change softened that land. Because of the 2 million trumpinator clones - each weighing 3100 lbs - worship parades & marches lowered the altitude of the Willamette Valley by 10 meters; giant trains would relocate them from one training facility to another. Regularly, trump's planes exported stockpiles of cash from accessible locales to his fortress at Portland.

When failing with his barricade to keep taxpayers from escaping into then-Mexico, he expended the "President's Habitation Answer Regarding Transfers" (PHART gas, as it is more commonly known) in the Puget Sound area, and moderately erased the high-tech population. This land was bought with the trillions trump began embezzling from the government 30 years earlier. Those who swore allegiance to him, called him "President," or were even willing to capitalize his name, were allowed to repopulate that area - as long as there was mass quantities of continued posterior smooching. Puget Sound, being ideal for golf courses, had no hurricanes or those "testy natives." Baby food became the only import into western Washington.
