But I agree with your critic, that a glove or backhand plate would be fitting. Alas, I'm no longer modding Kenshi, so if you want to see this, you'll have to do it yourself.
This is an altered version of someone else's work, so you have my permission to use my edits as a baseline, and then you just get permission from the original author and you're good to go.
Should be pretty easy to do backhand plate. If I were you, I'd copy an existing part of the mesh, that's already UV mapped, and just resize it and place it over the back of the hand. Making a glove would be a bit tedious, perhaps you can use a glove from someone else's work, and just remap the UVs.
If it isn't compatible, for whatever outlandish reason, it will be immediately evident, and safe to remove, even if you save your game with this mod. So, no risk. Just give it a whirl, and if it works, plz, come let everyone else know, to save them from having to ask.
Did you make sure this mod is lower in the load order, so it overwrites the original?
Did you make sure this mod is turned on?
This mod only modifies the mesh geometry. The texture was untouched.
Hey there fellow Chaderino! Say hi next time you see me
Yes, it is just a model change. It doesn't change anything with the armor (As a game object) or it's research. It does require the original mod, as that is where everything else pertaining to the armor comes from.
WHY WOULD I EVER WANT THIS?!?!
I removed the shirt from the male armor, cuz it was just being too finicky still with certain body slider values. No heavy armors in vanilla have a shirt anyways, so it fits in just fine. Most characters have a shirt or chainmail underneath anyways.
I also moved the secondary knee-plate over the thigh cuz it made more sense to protect the front of the thigh, than have super protected knees.
Also some other stuff.
Screenshots updated to reflect changes.
Well, I tried to get the weight painting to work with the L Boob and R Boob, but I just couldn't do it easily, and I tried for about an hour. An hour of work is more than I cared to give to try and make the armor work for very small breasted women.
In my testing if the breast slider is at about 25% or higher, it looks just fine. So, for the majority of users, it'll be just fine.
Also, if you didn't already know, you can take Seto to a plastic surgeon, and edit her body mesh, just like any other character.
I'm tired, I had surgery and anesthesia yesterday, and muscle relaxers today, so I'm just out of it, and I'm going to bed for now.
