After you sell items you can restart the game to bring his money back instantly. I like it.

Blake 17 Oct, 2015 @ 5:03am
thanks man, I got him, helps alot!
Chriskmee  [author] 11 Oct, 2015 @ 2:08pm
@Blake, try my other mod Bondolf Rich Merchant. He is a new npc in whiterun, and if he dies you can always reload the mod and he will be back.
Blake 9 Oct, 2015 @ 9:44am
Unfortunately, this guy got killed somewhere (presumably by a dragon) in my game, so his shop is always shut, lol damn it!
PSYMIN 16 Jul, 2014 @ 7:26pm
Okay thanks! :)
Chriskmee  [author] 16 Jul, 2014 @ 7:06pm
@SvenDaWhite. Unfortunately, I can't. There is a Skyrim bug that causes issues when an npc's money gets close to about $30k. My other mod, Bondolf, has $20k, but doesn't sell anything, so his money shouldn't get close to $30k. With Belethor selling stuff, it's much easier to get his money up, which is why I set the lower limit here.
PSYMIN 16 Jul, 2014 @ 3:23am
Can you make him have i dunno like 50k? I mean he gets bankrupt so fast when i sell him my things. :/
PSYMIN 2 Jul, 2014 @ 5:46am
Belthor lives in Whiterun. Go by the houses and look o an icon of a scales. Hope this helps. :)
DragonMaster 21 May, 2014 @ 9:04pm
How about we get this one here posted on Nexus mods? would love to see it over there. Thanks.
Spender87 20 Apr, 2014 @ 10:03am
where does he live
Dig_Boofus 28 Nov, 2013 @ 6:32pm
ive tried that i just uninstaled and reinstalled that worked
Chriskmee  [author] 28 Nov, 2013 @ 12:05pm
The default wait time for new inventory of most shop owners in Skyrim, including Belethor, is 48 in game hours. If you wait for 48 hours in game (default "T" key) are the inventories refreshed?
Dig_Boofus 28 Nov, 2013 @ 3:52am
there is a glitch with this where shop wont get new inventory and all of the shops sell the same things
redderth 24 Nov, 2013 @ 10:19am
where does Belethor live
Shoddy 21 Aug, 2013 @ 4:04am
Interesting.
Thanks for the little tid-bit, there.
Chriskmee  [author] 21 Aug, 2013 @ 12:20am
I believe it has to do with the size of a 16 bit integer. The max value in a 16 bit integer is 32,767. If you add one to that, it goes negative, which would mess things up. If Skyrim stores the value for a merchant's money un a 16 bit integer, it would explain why weird things happen around $30k
Shoddy 20 Aug, 2013 @ 1:06pm
Thanks for the information! I'll check it out.
So...If Belethor's Shop Gold get's over 30,000 you're saying that if I sell him something, I won't be paid, yes?
That sounds more along the lines of a safelock than a glitch. Possibly to determine whether or not the player is cheating or not.
Chriskmee  [author] 19 Aug, 2013 @ 9:03pm
nothing drastic, he will just stop paying you. Worst case scenario reset the mod and restart skyrim. I haven't seen anything as drastic as data corruption with the 30k money glitch, but thats not saying it can't happen. Best to make a backup of save files anyways.
Shoddy 18 Aug, 2013 @ 4:05pm
When you say "Problems Occur"
What do you mean?
Data corruption? Game deletion?
Possibly having to re-install skyrim?
I personally love exploiting glitches in games and seeing them freak out, trying to determine what bit of code belongs where.
I'd like to try this "Glitch" but I don't know if the re-percussions are drastic or not. Could you please explain, perhaps?
돌고래 17 Jun, 2013 @ 7:52am
I ♥ you. Thanks.

I've got this, his rich son, and bondolf :P I'm floating down a river of gold.

Very useful, just what i fucking needed. Thanks.

Thanks, very useful.
Chriskmee  [author] 15 Dec, 2012 @ 12:51pm
He is the general merchant in whiterun. As you enter whhiterun, just go straight until you get to the markey area, and one of the buildings is belethor's general goods store.
te1968 13 Dec, 2012 @ 8:22am
where do you find this merchant in the game?

Random 30 Jul, 2012 @ 6:33am
this mod is perfect!!!!!
Chriskmee  [author] 15 Jul, 2012 @ 10:57am
This should work for anyone that installs it, no matter what level. If you are having problems, I would suggest using my other mod "Bondolf rich merchant", which I personally believe is better anyways.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe you have another mod that modifies the merchants (dynamic merchants maybe?) Check your mod list and change the order that mods load if your have to.
Voidseeker 15 Jul, 2012 @ 10:01am
is there some lvl cap before this works ? have started a high elf but he stil only had 700 or so
-.-
OnBake 15 Jul, 2012 @ 3:41am
Belethor is rich but still pays that annoying kid minimum wage.
jlpars75 6 May, 2012 @ 10:45am
Have come to count on richer Belethor. Thanks.
Ashiyama 14 Apr, 2012 @ 11:34am
Nice to have a merchant that has enough coin so I can sell ALL the junk and treasure I gather, loot, and collect on my adventures.

Also works nice with Bondolf the rich merchant mod. ^_^
The_Little_Kid 5 Apr, 2012 @ 2:49am
I'm sorry. I misread who had the real money. Thanks for giving us another 10K merchant. If it weren't for the merchants being so poor in this game, you could become a millionaire in no time. I'm heading to DL your 20K mod.

Thanks again!
The_Little_Kid 5 Apr, 2012 @ 1:31am
I needed this!!! Between Alchemy & Enchantments and brewing smithing potions, I was making dragon armor that no merchant had the money for. My dragonscale armor after making & smithing is worth $16,000 (and change). Oh, I could take off my barter enchanted clothes and sell it for less, but what good is the barter enchantment if you can't use it?

Thanks!
Chriskmee  [author] 5 Apr, 2012 @ 12:52am
Since both mods modify Belethors inventory, they will almost definantly conflict. Unfortunatly there is not much that can be done, since Skyrim is not smart enough to merge the modified inventory I gave him and the modified inventory Aertyr game him.

I think Bondolf is the better choice anyways, he shouldn't conflict with anything unless another mod puts an object in the same spot as him or his "inventory chest". If that happens, I can easily move him to another spot nearby.
The Nega Druid 4 Apr, 2012 @ 11:25pm
Small problem. This mod and Aertyr's Enchantment mod do not work together. When you put his after yours, the 10k gold doesn't show. But when you put yours after his, it makes the fur armors that he sells with special new enchantments not function correctly.

Curses. Hm. I'll just go for Bondolf.
Chriskmee  [author] 3 Apr, 2012 @ 9:07pm
Thanks for the compliment,

Do you think that is worth doing now that I made the Bondolf merchant mod? I made this Belethor mod because I thought creating a new merchant would be too difficult, but it was much easier than I origionally thought. I think that it took maybe 1.5 hours to create and debug Bondolf if you include the time i spent on tutorials. If i knew a merchant was not too hard to create, I would have never made this Belethor mod.
Gav 3 Apr, 2012 @ 5:58pm
Great mod, does what is says!

@Chriskmee I think you should just make a mod for each amount of money (10k, 15k & 20k) seeing as it will cause less hassle, people can just choose what's best for them. I suspect it would be fairly easy to do on your part.

Lastly thanks for the mod, it works great.
Chriskmee  [author] 27 Mar, 2012 @ 4:06pm
hey everyone, please check out my other mod "Bondolf Rich Merchant". He has 20k gold and is basically immune to the 30k glitch.
Chriskmee  [author] 27 Mar, 2012 @ 11:29am
I would like to ask the subscribers: Would you prefer i made this mod 15k or left it at 10k? Or maybe I should make a seperate 15k mod? I think 10k is enough for me, but I want to know what all of you want.
Ray Peng Bugs 27 Mar, 2012 @ 11:22am
when i got to much money one time it went to negitive ha
ronr42 27 Mar, 2012 @ 11:19am
your welcome, and yes you would need to buy a lot of things before selling. thing is, there are a ton of mods that add to belethors available items. i am level 55 and have many of those mods. plus always about 300k in gold. so for people like me it is easy to spend 10 or 15k everytime i go to belethors. i do think though that if you wanted to make it 15k instead of 10k it would still work fine. especially with the description suggesting to sell before buying.
Chriskmee  [author] 26 Mar, 2012 @ 10:17pm
@ronr42; I remember hearing about this, but wouldn't that only happen if you buy a bunch of stuff from Belethor? I may reduce his money to 15k, or even 10k if people think that would be safer.

I will add this to the description, thanks

ronr42 26 Mar, 2012 @ 10:06pm
@Chriskmee; you probably know this, but i'll mention it anyway. if a merchant has 30k or more in gold they will no longer pay you for anything you sell to them. in your description you might want to add this fact and tell people to sell items to belethor before buying from him. that way he won't reach the 30k threshold.
