For anyone else wondering, there is a way to remove the new coloring. Just set the tint to white 255/255/255 and it's exactly the same as the stock ones.

Now original gas storage has been increased from 150kg to 1000kg. The 'big' gas storage in this mod remains 750kg by default config.

Is there a way I can remove this new coloring it has? I want there to be no new coloring like i want the new big ones to look just like the stock ones is there anyway i can do that?

No worries, I totally get it. I didn't notice the GH link at the bottom, that's my bad. Haven't toyed around with ONI modding before, but shouldn't be too difficult of a change to make.

So officially no, as I'm in maintenance only. I know that's frustrating, but that's the status.

A weird/fun note about cost:
The cost isn't explicit (like I don't have "10 refined metal" listed) instead each building has a "construction mass" tier, and then it's set based on that. One could make THAT a slider, and players could just deal with whatever the cost comes out to, and re-adjust if they hate it.

I do keep a list of features just in case I get a wild hair and decide to update this, but that's a long shot.

The source is available if you'd like to go that route.

Apologies, this mod is in maintenance only, and... I would have no idea how to do that anyway. There are lots of storage mods, though, maybe another is a better fit (or, adjust mine so it fits in between?)

Could you make it so we can also adjust the size of the base game storages aswell? I'd like to have 2-3 tiers of adjustable storage, instead of only being able to adjust the ones added by the mod. Would help me balance them better and smooth out the progression from one to the other

Mod is crashing. Haven't played ONI in while and had a couple different mods. I did a lot of testing and found that even if I load Big Storage by itself I still get a crash when I try to play the game. I tried loading my old save and new game but in both cases it crashes. If I leave all the originals mods on and turn off Big Storage my old save loads minus all the missing storage containers.

The game menu itself loads it's just when I goto colony that it crashes. Also I have Space Out DLC and playing on Space Out map

@Flanders016 Are you sure? I just started it with only Big Storage enabled, and it works for me. Could it be another mod causing it? And if not could you be more specific with the crash log.

So, these are always the bad ones: I could not get it to crash. Not on new games, not on old ones.
I recompiled with the latest bits and bytes from KLEI, and updated versions.

I hope that helps, since, uh, that's all I can do.

If anyone is still crashing:
Make sure you're at the latest version of this one, shut off your other mods, please, and tell me minimum steps to get it to tank.

You can adjust it in mod options. Set it to whatever you want, default will be 100. I'll reset the defaults here some day. Thanks for the catch!

I included the one line change I made in the ZIP file. If the 40h week and my procrastination allow I will make a pull request for the original author (thanks!) of this mod so he can update this workshop entry.




BTW you should NEVER download random DLLs from the internet and execute them (even by some software like Oxy) - but I won't stop you.

Just had some beers and made a hacky fix to be able to load my >1000 cycle savegame again (after Sweet Dreams update + hotfix):

a) Copy the folder
"%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded\mods\Steam\1913589787"
into
"%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded\mods\Local\"
(so there is a '1913589787' folder beneath 'mods\Local')

b) Unsubscribe from this mod (the former folder should vanish)

c) Download https://swamp.dev/uploadz/BigStorage-HackFix-4-SweetDreams.zip and unzip it somewhere

d) Copy the contents of that into the aforementioned folder "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded\mods\Local\1913589787\" (which you just copied) OVERWRITING the "BigStorage.dll" file

e) Start up the game - the last entry under "Mods" is now supposed to be BigStorage again - but now with a 'Browse' instead of a 'Subscription' button (because it is a local mod now)

f) Verify the *subscripted* BigStorage mod is gone for good - then try to load your savegame again

This mod is causing crashes after recent update (Sweet Dreams) caused in 'ApplyColorToBuilding' function. Hard to track down as the game detects other mods' patches as the culprit. (e.g. Buildable Natural Tiles)

I saw that in testing, and forgot to mention!
It only tints once the filter is set.
So set those storages to filter something, and they'll tint themselves.
I could not for the life of me get that to work. I'll look some time I'm not so tired and angry at it.

Hey great work! There seems to be a bug with the tints though. I had containers already built. They were tinted as expected.

Then I tried to build some more containers, but after the first newly built one received a tint, the rest did not receive a tint. So only the first newly built container had a tint.

We're nearing the end, folks. I've spent a few hours on it, and I can't find good docs to work with. I'd have to pick apart an existing mod... If anyone knows of one that adds to the tech tree that is updated, I can take another look, but I don't think this is getting updated any time soon.

It works with DLC and fresh air update, but if I build an refrigerator the game crash.
