Hoping to make maps as intuitive and flowing as this. Excellent puzzle as always! A little proud of myself to say this took me about 26 minutes total.

Probably one of my favorite maps from you (so far). Not a surprise to say this, but faved!
SpielSatzFail 24 Aug, 2023 @ 5:42am
Wow, pretty convoluted. Just when I didn't believe in my escape anymore, it all worked out ^^
The final portal shot worked, and I'm pretty sure the majority of the players in this comments section knows about the F6 key :-P

That was a fun map ! :steamthumbsup: Favorited !

So frustrating when I got to the very last portal shot and it failed. Because one of my portals was a tiny bit too low. I hope this can get fixed.
Docentti 17 May, 2022 @ 12:40pm
I kinda quickly realized that I'd have to do the level "twice" because of the cube swap . So many phases for such a simple move, but I really enjoyed it. Faved! :)

@Aneonen
Thanks for playing! At its core this puzzle is indeed one giant cube swap ;)
Aneonen 6 May, 2021 @ 1:48pm
Nice puzzle! I enjoyed the work needed for the extended laser-cube swap

I know I play tested this map last year, but it probably took me almost as long to solve it this time as it did back then! Still a brilliant puzzle.
Dark Rozen 16 Aug, 2020 @ 5:40am
Still fun
Reika 18 Apr, 2020 @ 8:21pm
I think portal magnets have tolerances and cooldowns; it might be possible to edit the BEEMod vbsp configs to change those.
Teo  [author] 17 Apr, 2020 @ 7:21pm
@Reika
aww man, angled panels are so annoying :( 90% of the time they work, but in this map in particular it seems that when shooting the high up laser surface, the portal magnet doesn’t work sometimes. I’ll do my best to see if I can fix this
Reika 17 Apr, 2020 @ 7:00pm
While you are here, it would be nice if there was an anti-frustration feature to avoid this eventuality: https://i.imgur.com/n5HdDp1.jpg

Namely, placing the everything correctly but missing the cube (which is aimed at square-receiver) and losing the ability to try again given the reactivated fizzler.
Teo  [author] 17 Apr, 2020 @ 6:23pm
@Reika
Oh huh, that’s pretty funky :P Actually come to think of it, I believe I now have enough knowledge of logic gates to be able to replace the funnel system with invisible logic. Thanks for finding this !
Reika 17 Apr, 2020 @ 6:11pm
A heads-up that if you put your portals on the two laser panels and stand under the exit, your orange "control funnel" is loudly audible due to the game engine's "sound copy relative to portals" bug.

@Goose Honk
This is indeed a pretty tricky puzzle, so don't worry about being stuck. There is a solution video linked up above if you need a tip in the right direction. I would perhaps recommend trying some of my easier puzzles like Verticality before this one :)
Goose Honk 9 Apr, 2020 @ 8:58pm
i dont know how to get third cube any hint at all?

completely new experience than condor. condor was bit hard and this one is close to that. :p2blue:fav:p2cube::p2orange:

Great map - The ending panned out a lot easier than I originally though :)

@Libbybapa
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! Personally I dislike the aesthetic of custom buttons, but I really like that idea of moving the antline to act as a cube aligner. Not sure why I never thought of that sooner as I realized the alignment was an issue during testing :P I'll try to look into changing that soon :)
Libbybapa 20 Jan, 2020 @ 10:52pm
I enjoyed that a lot. Very nice puzzle. I'll offer a couple suggestions to make the play a little more friendly. Place antline from the weighted button to fizzler so it is centered on the fizzler/cube buttons. That way it can be used as a guide for cube placement. Replace the weighted button with either a trigger button or conductive plate to make the cube swap more convenient. Thumbs up!

Really happy you liked it enough to put it in your best of collection :D

A+++

The reset button has been fixed, the intended solution is now forced

Thanks to @hub and @Hex: Beb for bringing this exploit to my attention
Teo  [author] 25 Nov, 2019 @ 11:45am
@Hex: Beb
Thanks for playing, that is an unintended solution. I will take down the map and fix the reset button
Beb1 25 Nov, 2019 @ 6:14am
Very cool map :) made a quick solution video: https://youtu.be/ohuW1Pj9q-s
Nobody No-One 24 Nov, 2019 @ 10:15pm
I think the magnets are actually less strong than the panels, or at least no stronger.
Teo  [author] 24 Nov, 2019 @ 5:51pm
@Oblivious Owl
Thank you, happy you liked it! I tried my best on this one to make it as sneaky as possible :D
Teo  [author] 24 Nov, 2019 @ 5:49pm
@Narkodes
Sounds fancy! I think I'll stick with just using portal magnets or angled panels, but thank you for offering
Teo  [author] 24 Nov, 2019 @ 5:48pm
@hub
woah, it's happening to you way more than it happened to me :O The magnet worked fine for me, not sure why it's being annoying for you :( I understood what you said. I use angled panels in all my maps to create magnets on surfaces; I prefer their looks over the portal magnet and they (in most cases) function the same. It may be that because in this map you have to shoot at a sharp angle upwards, the magnet sometimes fails. If this issue persists, I will replace both panels with magnets.
Narkodes 24 Nov, 2019 @ 6:53am
Btw., at the moment I'm updating Nacreous and Euthenics - in both maps I will use a modified portal surface, that I created especially for lasermaps. It is without a portal magnet, but the surfaceis so small, that you don't need a magnet at all. Hook me up if you want to use that surface.
hub 24 Nov, 2019 @ 6:48am
Hmm. Angled panels? Didn't you use BEE2? I meant BEE2-item named "Portal Magnet". Maybe @Nobody No-One's advice may help with this https://youtu.be/R0SBQea8jFM .
Teo  [author] 24 Nov, 2019 @ 5:48am
@hub
Thanks for finding that exploit with the reset button, I'll work on fixing that today. I'm sorry you had an issue with the final shot, I used angled panels to create portal magnets on both surfaces in that room so that that wouldn't happen but once in a while they goof and don't do what they're supposed to do :0
Nobody No-One 23 Nov, 2019 @ 9:53pm
or Narkodes-style 7/8 tall portal surfaces
hub 23 Nov, 2019 @ 1:25pm
A bit different solution: https://youtu.be/2zX5P9lUvI4 It seems I'm the only one who hate the final shot. Do you know that you may lose all progress just because of the final shot? If the upper portal is placed a bit lower then you lose all. Portal magnets may help to fix this issue.
Oblivious Owl 23 Nov, 2019 @ 11:15am
Nice map! You're so good at making a map look super easy at first glance, but the solution is always more complex than it seems!
Teo  [author] 22 Nov, 2019 @ 2:55pm
@Leomievs
The ending sequence is pretty sneaky so don't worry about having trouble with it :P Glad you liked the map !
Teo  [author] 22 Nov, 2019 @ 2:54pm
@Atom
Really happy you liked it; I'd totally be down to work on a map together :D

@Nobody No-One
Thank you!
Leo 21 Nov, 2019 @ 2:18pm
I like how you recreated Atom's type of design. Also I like the puzzle. I thought I was being as smart as Mikeastro since I initially made progress pretty fast, and then I got stuck on the ending setup for an embarrassing amount of time. Great work!
Psychological Atom 20 Nov, 2019 @ 11:07pm
Very awesome map! I can see this is your best inspiration idea from me. Maybe we can work together to create a map.
Nobody No-One 20 Nov, 2019 @ 8:05pm
Very nice and elegant map. Thumbs up.

@Dark Rozen
Glad you liked it, I'll check out your run !
Dark Rozen 19 Nov, 2019 @ 7:44am
Medium sounds about right, I solved this in 30 mins. this it's difficulty rating is around 3.5. Very nice elegant solution, you may want to check my stream to see if I did it right.
Teo  [author] 18 Nov, 2019 @ 6:47pm
@Mikeastro
Thank you very much; I think the more you work with a certain type of logic, the easier solving others' maps with similar logic becomes. Differences in familiarity with complex laser logic is probably the main reason I've got varying reports on this map's difficulty. Saying that, I am thinking about lowering this guy to a Medium rating. I guess I'll see what other's think about it. Thanks for the feedback :)
Teo  [author] 18 Nov, 2019 @ 6:41pm
@quatrus
Thank you for playing!
Mikeastro 18 Nov, 2019 @ 3:01pm
Cool map indeed. Maybe I just have a thing for laser puzzles, and I don't wanna flex either, but it took me only just over 15 minutes to solve. I found the logic fairly easy to dissect, but it is nice to see how you quite elegantly forced so many nice switcharoos. I did the same as @Narkodes. Big thumbs up ^_^
quatrus 18 Nov, 2019 @ 12:57pm
Complex - thanks for creating.
