I think the name should be changed to "Velvet Fists", since it kinda goes along with the following saying: "A person can rule with either an iron hand or a velvet fist."
Plus, we already have "iron hands" in the game as "Fist of Steel", so this would make it even more conveint to change the name to "Velvet Fists".
Also, I think it sounds a bit more intimidating yet still silly enough to be a TF2 item.

Hm, ich mag die Idee, dem Heavy Handschuhe zu verpassen, aber warum dann nicht gleich richtige, warme Winterhandschuhe aus Leder und Fell? Die hier sehen aus wie Butlerhandschuhe, die man zum Polieren des Tafelsilbers überzieht.
