Having issues with this mod, when we use it we can get a total of 5 players to join (Excluding GM) but we can go over this. Is there a way to resolve this?

Make sure everyone check their meta.lsx file is at the correct location. It won't work if it's not the case.

Hey Luxen, thanks for your contribution with this mod!! This is still working? Yesterday I played as GM with 5 friends. just 4 off then could play, the 5º don't. :c

You need to change the meta.lsx only if you want to go over 8.
And that is something that is going to be obsolete soon anyway, this mod will soon require the extender and will make the meta.lsx shenanigan not necessary anymore.

Well, you won't get any better result here. It's basically the GM version of LaughingLeader's mod.
Hammer Goblin 9 Feb, 2022 @ 10:40am
Doesn't do the desired result but I talked with Laughing Leader already after I made that comment xD

A year later, 2022;
Not running a Game Master game, but an Adventure, and running the expanded party mod, and I read the description and using the information you set there, players in GM Mode could join off using direct connect via the character creation.

I wanted to know if there's a way that can work in Adventure, so all my darling friends can have their own character to play as. Would it work the same?
Luxen  [author] 13 Jan, 2021 @ 5:34am
No, it doesn't add more GMs.

Read the description please.

Its working? for GM mode 5+ players?
PYR 25 Mar, 2020 @ 6:24am
Alright, thanks :)
Luxen  [author] 25 Mar, 2020 @ 6:15am
The mod itself, no. However you can still try to modify the Classic Game Master meta.lsx to increase the number of players, my bet is that it would most likely work.
PYR 24 Mar, 2020 @ 8:53pm
would this mod work if using the classic edition ?

Currently working on a fix, one of the last game update may have broke it

Has anyone been able to get this to work? We have verified our clients, this is the only mod we have installed and we are still getting consistent crashes when a 5th player tries to log in while we are at the character creation screen. I appreciate the hard work it took to make this in the first place, just looking for clarification.

Hello @Dssr
If the folders are missing, just create them and it should work
Dssr 5 Dec, 2019 @ 7:55am
Hello and thank you for your work , I have a question I’m trying to create a campaign with your mod but my friends don’t have the file "mods" to be able to put "meta. Isx" could you help me? Thanks again for what you do.

You ruin my life but i love you !

Yeah, they seem focused on the Switch launch and consoles. GM mode has been on the back-burner for a while now. I've come close to giving up on it a couple of times, but I'm so in love with the idea and the potential of it that I don't. I'm really hoping they either eventually get around to giving the game some bug fixing love, or give Baldur's Gate 3 the end all be all GM mode.

Thanks for your support. It might be more stable if ever Larian decide to finally fix the game since they broke it for almost 2 monthes now with Gift Bag 2. But it seems that they have a weird sense of priorities - they prefer focusing on adding more pseudo-content instead of fixing what makes the game borderline playable (at least in GM mode)

This is actually something I've been needing for so long now. I run this weird hybrid DnD Lan Party thing at my place and the amount of players just kept increasing, this solves the awkwardness of having basically half of the party be henchmen. I haven't tested it yet (at work) and I assume it'll take me a while to integrate it to my current campaign, but this is still so huge! Many many thanks Luxen, keep up the great work!
