Placeholder - Tree

How many/which of Clus's roads actually use this? It's included in 3 collections, but so far Network Skins 2 only recognises trees in this road: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2035248394

I think it even only worked after I unsubbed that particular road and subbed it again, so it's installed after the Tree Placeholder, then I did the same with the whole collection, but aforementioned road is still the only one with trees selectable in Network Skins 2.

Now I wonder if I have to fiddle around with unsubbing and subbing more or if "2 L Tram Road wth Platforms #01" really is the only one that actually makes use of the Tree Placeholder.

Could this be used to make Sound Barrier Props actually reduce sound pollution ??

@LemonsterOG Thank you so much for the response. Yeah, I thought that's what they were designed for, thanks for the confirmation. Hmmm now if only I could edit a road :steamhappy::steamsad:

@RubyRobbins -- This is not for in-game placement. These are for asset creators to use in the Road Editor, so when they make road, they can use these, meaning in-game the road will appear to have no trees, but with Network Skins, other trees can be selected.

How do these work please? I've placed them along the road side, and Network Skins does not show the option to place trees? I use your roads. Thank you.

@clus -- Are you accepting paid requests? If so, please send me a friend request. Thanks.

This is a brilliant idea. What I've been doing, across the workshop, is only subscribing to road versions (if available) with trees. That way, if I don't want any trees, I just use NS2 to select "none".
This prevents me from subscribing to several versions of roads. Although not my situation, this would be especially helpful to people using potatoes to play the game.

This is a very beautiful tree!

Could you do a light placeholder too? Would be useful for rural roads that don't normally have lights, but user might want to add lights in some places via NS2. Would be good to have single asset in workshop that represents that, so other assets/mods can be consistent.

I'm thinking also of some planned future features for TM:PE :)

I'll change that when it's used for the first time ! ;)

Ah ok cool. Yeah it was just its visibility that was throwing me off. Everything else makes sense.

Hey. "It's a tree" ;) Can't you see that ?! :P na ... just kidding. I am going to use this "tree" in some of my upcoming roads, so that the NS2 mod will be able to detect that tree on the road. That way you'll be able to change it to your desired tree. Everybody who still wants the roads as clean as I'll upload them (to place the trees manually for example) won't need this. Currently it's not used in any of my uploads... Regarding your point: I am going to change it, so that its invisible.

Not sure I get it. So it's something for your roads, to give them changeable trees through NS2? But if it's visible like that, then one is forced to replace it on all your roads?
