@alexhaynes798 As far as I know the "L.A. River Network Pack" has no need for Mass Transit DLC.
Tennyson 13. sep. 2022 kl. 14:23
I would also love to see narrower options, even as small as an irrigation canal, even if that means the small ones don't use ferries. Concrete versions of the sizes used for the green valley pack, basically. I use them for pedestrian promenades so being wide enough for a ferry is not a requirement.
AFC22 9. aug. 2022 kl. 13:45
Is there a way for you to make a mod without the ferries or mass transit dlc? Its fine if not but just wondering
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 5. aug. 2022 kl. 18:01
@Ricebug Try that if you like. These are just assets and do not effect the game itself like mods do so there us no reason why they shouldn't show up in the game.
Ricebug 5. aug. 2022 kl. 7:06
/steam/workshop/content/255710/???

Sorry for not being clearer.
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 5. aug. 2022 kl. 7:00
@Ricebug Not sure what you mean by 'directory'.
Ricebug 4. aug. 2022 kl. 18:31
I've used the Network Rivers in the past. For some reason, I cannot load them into the game. I've unsubscribed and re-subbed, to no avail. Should I delete the directory?

@eanboy23 I did looked into the problem with the rivers in the map editor a while ago and discovered that canals cannot be placed into maps. As the network rivers are using the canal properties as a base they are subsequently not useable in the map editor. I have been unable to find a solution.
As for the look: I use a custom theme with several textures for different themes put together in Theme Mixer 2. What you're getting on the river banks is the ruined texture. If you choose the same grass for the 'ruined' as for the 'grass' this will solve the problem. I recommend the grass and ruined from the Seychelles Map Theme.

So neat!!! :D

I have a question that is similar to that of steel_ratt. I am building a map in the map editor to build my city on and want to add several rivers using these assets, but like steel_ratt can't seem to get the water into the river. I have made a recording so you can see what I'm doing.

In my game the asset appears to look slightly different from how they look in the tutorial videos. It's almost as if they have two rims/banks instead of one. In the tutorial video's the river seems to blend into the terrain more.
Infrane 25. sep. 2020 kl. 6:31
A stretch, but can you add 32m- and 40m-wide ones?
steel_ratt 8. sep. 2020 kl. 14:51
Do these work in the map editor? I'm having a devil of a time making them work. It seems to be quite easy when playing the game. (I'm not talking about the lack of curving tools... move-it can take care of that. The rivers just don't seem to contain ANY flow without overflowing or being dry.)
Krzeszny 11. juni 2020 kl. 7:58
Nice mod. Could you maybe add a new type of city rivers in the future, namely, ones with concrete banks sloped flatter than 45 degrees?
Troubadixx 18. mar. 2020 kl. 6:39
@Macwelshman .. This is awesome...thanks for all your river networks. Did you ever think of doing a L.A. River network? Keep up the great work...
Emperor_Peter 7. mar. 2020 kl. 10:55
@Macwelshman - what is the road mod you use for those beautiful cobblestones (11th pic with sailboat at top)
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 12. feb. 2020 kl. 11:33
@IanLai None taken.
Egoist 12. feb. 2020 kl. 11:17
35 meter is for ship travel , so sounds reasonable . the canals also use for sewage . the water dump out can be large amount when i was 10k population . i did get flooding if i use the same canal for all sewage facility ,even the deepest canal

don't worry , i am not going to down vote people hard work just because i don't use it
just my personal feeling about the canal no offense
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 12. feb. 2020 kl. 7:26
@IanLai The vanilla canals are ridiculously deep (35 metres). These rivers are based on realism.
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 12. feb. 2020 kl. 7:25
@IanLai The depth of the rivers is 7 metres in the centre and 3.5 metres on the banks. The side walls sit 0.5 metre above ground level. If the water level covers the mud banks by a metre then the centre will be 4.5 metres in depth. I don't think that is unreasonable.
Egoist 12. feb. 2020 kl. 6:33
expect to be same as vallia canal or deeper . more than 100 meter thick but 2 meter height is defintely not expected. i need to zoom in so close and observe there is a little height there
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 12. feb. 2020 kl. 4:24
@IanLai What? Why is it too shallow? How deep do you expect it to be? Rivers aren't very deep. Get over it!!!
Egoist 12. feb. 2020 kl. 2:11
too shallow, expecting a canal system is wider than vanilla .this is too shallow just like a car is taller than it
Astraeus 2. dec. 2019 kl. 9:48
Alright, thank you. Just got the DLC anyway, so it isn't a problem.
D "Coffee" 2.3 2. dec. 2019 kl. 2:47
Exactly what I need. The vanilla canal is just ugh.....
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 1. dec. 2019 kl. 18:01
@Tupi Watch this space!!
Terrabolista 1. dec. 2019 kl. 17:37
Does this have any version without the quays, only the mud shores?
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 1. dec. 2019 kl. 16:27
@Valk I understand your point but I think the best solution would be for me to set the Required DLC to Mass Transit.
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 1. dec. 2019 kl. 16:25
@DV-13 It could be! My suggestion is to lower that last node so it disappears below the water as much as possible. As far as I know it's not possible to have an open ended canal/river, it will always create a closed node.
DV-13 1. dec. 2019 kl. 10:19
Is connecting these rivers to open bodies of water as ugly as the vanilla canals?
Astraeus 1. dec. 2019 kl. 5:30
And, if that is the issue, I think that you should create non-ferry rivers if possible, since many people don't have the DLC.
Astraeus 1. dec. 2019 kl. 5:24
I do not have the Mass Transit DLC, but I am about to get it tomorrow.
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 1. dec. 2019 kl. 5:04
@Valk Just a quick thought. Do you have the Mass Transit DLC? This pack has ferry lines in each river. This may be the issue.
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 1. dec. 2019 kl. 4:59
@Valk I have no idea what is causing that. It might be worth you posting a question on the community and see if anyone can help.

@Valk what is the Loading Screen mod error message?
Astraeus 30. nov. 2019 kl. 6:08
Didn't work. Is there something that I am missing? Please, I need to make a city out of this.
Hindi 29. nov. 2019 kl. 11:20
Whats the redwhite Trainasset?
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 29. nov. 2019 kl. 5:24
@Valk My only advice is to quit CS, unsubscribe, resubscribe a few minutes later and then try again.
Astraeus 29. nov. 2019 kl. 3:00
I'm so sad right now. These river's failed to load in. I was using the loading screen mod, and all rivers are failed. Please help!
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 28. nov. 2019 kl. 17:39
@Marxisbae Unfortunately I didn't create that screenshot as I'm not great at city building. The screenshots were created by Podpodda whilst testing the rivers. I could ask where they came from.
Marxisbae 28. nov. 2019 kl. 16:46
May i ask where you got the buildings from the seventh pic? I'm currently in the middle of creating an atrociously Vague-yet-complex "European" city and would love to know the deets, thanks.
vila浅水荟澄 28. nov. 2019 kl. 6:34
Could you make a series with different depth(similar to vanilla canal)? xD

Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 27. nov. 2019 kl. 9:54
@Oberzicke I haven’t tested cargo harbours on these rivers but ferries are working on them. It might be worth you doing some tests before committing to using them. I assume you mean aqueduct when referring to bridges. I have not yet found a way to create aqueducts in the game. The vanilla canals cannot be elevated, and the network editor doesn’t provide a way to allow it. Sorry. I hope you enjoy using them anyway.
0berzicke 27. nov. 2019 kl. 9:16
:( I create my own map to build my home-city and it was terrible to make the small rivers and the canal (Main-Donau-Kanal). I did the small rivers with Ronyx Terraforming Network, fill it with water and activated the mod Flood Damage Control. Then I make the canal. The Main-Donau-Kanal goes arround my hometown. After I finished and played a while you give us your first Network Rivers... ARGHHH ...should I rebuild all my rivers? so much work I won't do it. And now I see your City River .. and again I think: I should change all my rivers and the canal

But before I do this I have 2 questions:
Did the River Cargo Harbour from Lee Towers work on your City river with small cargo ships? This would be very nice :)

Can you build the City river as a bridge? I need this for my hometown
Strechnitz 26. nov. 2019 kl. 23:55
This is a great addition to your other water networks mcWelshman. Great work. Thanks!
matthiaspowerbomb 26. nov. 2019 kl. 20:15
If you could make American style concrete flood control canals with grime and graffiti, I'll shit a solid gold brick. True story.
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 26. nov. 2019 kl. 17:56
@gbuck70 I'd love to see some screenshots when you're finished. It's great to see how my creations are being used.
gbuck70 26. nov. 2019 kl. 17:52
@Macwelshman perfect! You know, the timing of this couldn't be better. I am literally in the middle of building a European city with a huge old train station in the middle surrounded by "old town". And was just thinking it would look nice to separate the old-town from the rest with a canal. So I'll be putting these in my city! Thanks again for the wonderful asset! :steamhappy:
Macwelshman  [ophavsmand] 26. nov. 2019 kl. 17:41
@gbuck70 Thanks! Yes, they use the canals as an initial template but the similarity ends there.
