Turns out the problem was a missing normal map, silly me ;p big thanks to ZeqMacaw for helping find and resolve that issue.

Yeah it messes up on lower graphics, prob something to do with the vmt settings.

Woah huh? that is really weird. Wonder if it has to do with your graphic settings in L4D2? Try changing them and see if it does anything. Otherwise ill try and take a look at it.
