Could you repalce the texture to the texture of the large hospital in the game or same like that. I think the texture now looks kind of drity and disharmony.:city_builder:

I have an issue with the water quality in this building. The water station directly in front of the building has 99%, but in the building it is only 94%. All other buildings around have 99%.

Could you release a second version as a hotel?

Thats good to hear, glad you like it :steamhappy:
Ternet18  [author] 19 Dec, 2019 @ 9:30am
Test and tell me if it looks better or not :steamhappy:

Thanks for feedback! :steamhappy: Well, I might have got a little carried away by roman's comments, It might be more of the translator's fault than his, but still.
I'll try to check if less bright texture will help, especially the sun-sided part does look quite bright, but I could only try that tommorow, since its getting late today.:steamhappy:

...and waiting for your next creation eagerly. ;)

Thanks for putting in so much work to make us content for the game! :) linch-roman "disgusting" is never used in this kind of context unless you want to be really rude, so... Google translate doesn't work well much of the time. Ternet18 don't take it to heart. There are many silent players who really appreciate the work put in.
If I could offer an idea: a little reduction of the textures' brightness or lightness (a bit darker than looks right in the image editor) might appear in-game as "toned down" (less bright) like another person described. In Cities Skylines, the models' textures have to be made a *lot* darker than you intend them to be. White buildings in particular are insanely difficult to get the lighting right. I gave up on white lol:steamfacepalm:. Maybe fiddling with texture brightness / white levels and see what happens in this game might be something to experiment with when making your next creation! :) :steamhappy:

Thats better. The word disgusting sounds like something is ugly and terrible, its a negative word. Appropriate would be "overly large," "exessively large" etc. Yes its quite long, but keep in mind - This IS the largest capacity in any of the balanced workshop items. 2nd largest is around 500, and comparable in size, this one is 840. If you want to build 4 houses instead of one of mine, then do it. I dont talk into how you personaly manage your housing, its your game. That means that I might not want to spam tall skyscrapers close to each other, but rather use a building like this one. Just like nearly 2,000 other people that subscriped to it. So I dont think it is "DiSgUsTiNgLy" large or contains too little people slots. Its calculated by Soviet standarts, that the actual number of people should be around 640, the maximum if all were living together with several families in one flat it would be around 1200. I made a compromise of 840. Thanks for feedback, we think it is balanced.

I wrote something like this. Maybe the whole thing is a translator. I am Russian and I write through Google. I do not know what you do not like the word disgusting, but it is quite appropriate. 4 houses can be built instead of one of yours. People get more crazy.

constructively: Well approx.
In your house you need to increase the number of inhabitants or make it smaller.
ryantheskinny  [author] 17 Dec, 2019 @ 1:19pm
Better this than chunking a perfectly decent model, I was gonna scrap it but I let my friend here skin it. I think it came out nice, and we even spent some time to make sure the capacity met Soviet standards for living.
OffTheRailsGaming 17 Dec, 2019 @ 1:08pm
These flats are really well made and look great, unlike the badly re-skinned ones linked in that comment. If they're too big for you then don't use them. If you're just trying to get more subs by using a different account, then that's not the best way of going about it really is it?
Ternet18  [author] 17 Dec, 2019 @ 12:58pm
May I ask you something @linch-roman ? What made you go into this workshop item, only to write how disgusting our work is and how should people subscribe to a different mod? This mod took actual time and effort you know? it was made for people that want to use it. If you dont want to use it - Fine, I dont force you, click away or write a suggestion comment, some constructive criticism.

But you come here, tell us our hard work is disgusting, and then dare to post a link to a different mod, that you see as a "superior" alternative. Learn some manners man, this is quite uncool.

If I truly had to, I'd write your comment like: "This house is quite large, takes a lot of space, I think the 21-storey prefab building is much more efficient scale and capacity wise."
linch-roman 16 Dec, 2019 @ 1:13pm
Disgustingly large house. large area of land. here is the best house in terms of capacity and space https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1862162937&searchtext=

I like it, currently a well-known symbol of national pride in my modest and bankrupt republic!
Ternet18  [author] 5 Dec, 2019 @ 10:27am
Yea, well, the model was provided by Ryan, I just added the entrance and textures. I based it of a mix of Socialist hotels and office buildings - so as purely residental it is unreal, but I am sure I saw a hotel like it. And the windows textures are based of an office building. So take it as an expensive show-off Potemkin village type house for priviledged people :steamhappy:

При всё уважении но при СССР я таких домов не видел) [2]. its a good mod but lacks in reality imo

@ryantheskinny Yes, that would be great. Having this next to a coal mine the white won't stay white for long ;-)
Ternet18  [author] 1 Dec, 2019 @ 1:36pm
I'd say 1970-80
Comrade Joe 1 Dec, 2019 @ 1:33pm
freaking glorious ^_^
Do you know by any chance during what era such buildings were built?

You are both great

Ahhh, mod from Ternet18 and ryantheskinny. Name better duo, i'll wait.
ryantheskinny  [author] 1 Dec, 2019 @ 6:11am
Btw, the residence calculations are based on Soviet standards. Each apartment is 92 sq meters (1000 SQ feet) which is quite nice for a Socialist Republic
ryantheskinny  [author] 1 Dec, 2019 @ 6:09am
@bautz when you say toned down, what do you mean? An older look might be doable if ternet wants to.
Bautz 30 Nov, 2019 @ 11:03pm
Would you mind making a bit more toned down version with an "older" look?
ryantheskinny  [author] 30 Nov, 2019 @ 9:05pm
