Quick question, does this mod and the other old factions still work with 1.3? I'd assume not but some 1.2 are still compatible with 1.3 so worth asking.

I worked on Spec Ops. This mod makes me smile. Amazing to see this for my (current) favorite game- warcrimes sim (rimworld). Still don't feel like a hero :(

@DFSpecter - Surprised to find out it's a vanilla feature, left behind pawns show up joining random factions wearing the same clothes sometimes, so I did find spec ops before with pirate bands raiding us. Just not a tailored event with cool effects like you described, but it's interesting to know vanilla has that feature

Needs a "You left me to die" event where one of the pawns you leave behind in character gen. (or abandon if you were raiding a settlement) return as part of a raiding force or something similar. I dunno.


Just a minor nit-pick. What's already here is 10/10 solid!

@Nitro Blitzen - The clothes are coded with how vanilla clothing and their layers work, to change that system would be beyond adding new clothes, it would be reworking accessory/apparel layers for vanilla which would need C# coding. It could also cause incompatibilities with other mods, unless a feature ever comes to rimworld vanilla from the devs themselves, it's not happening here. It's not something easy to do, and I don't recommend you force it because it will be like forcing two headgears on a pawn. Its unpredictable when you make the game do things it was never meant to do apart from mods that do them properly.

Late as always but is there any easy way to make the shemag's compatable with other headgear instead of only wearing one or the other? i managed to do it once with character editor but i also fucked it up and possibly corrupted my save

@Theplahunter *spitfire - Military furniture, they're not craftable in this mod. They're meant to be in limited supply if you use this on it's own. As for 1.1 CE compatibility, I was told it is by the CE team

@117 - I've answered your question in the collection comments, as I said it seems to happen for the Flak Vest too. I think it's a vanilla feature for items with set crafting items, not stuffables.

firstly thank you for this wonderful mod as well as project red horse collection. IDK if its compatibility issues since i dont have the error logs after using the harmony mod but I notice that for the JPC armors(including the british version),when crafting there is no ingredients,it has the ingredient required amount but u cant see the ingredients

One of the best armors I have seen in the game is from Cordis die...The sniper merc hood and there armor. I hope we get an armor like that for the 1.1 version.

@Hjack9090 - Yes my friend it's pretty much a custom player faction, you get to choose your own color and from my experience making factions, I add a cool new logo that fits the faction name. It's connected to scenarios which you have to make that would allow you to play with the faction.

Research levels aren't actually useful here since I don't think the way that works has been perfected by Tynan yet, so far there's no other tech besides the one we always start with, unless you add in the scenario that you want such and such unlocked or restricted.

Guys, special thanks to Mehni who I came to begging to help me, he fixed the backpacks. The only catch for backpacks to work is for my mods using them to rely on Harmony, which is no problem whatsoever. An update is coming soon, I have to sadly remove the 1.0 version again in the folder structure to stop conflicts with 1.1. I will leave a link for 1.0 version of this mod in the description.

honestly dude, i'd just be happy with your custom clothing from mods making it through. the apparel you have made for this game is by far my favourite of any other clothing mods. Just do what you can, and will appreciate even the small things that make it through the update process. Shame about the backpack functionality. Can those be atleast added as cosmetic apparel atleast? i really like the visuals of them. immersive and whatnot.

Dang sad to see things go but at least the core features are still good. I use RimFridge so the Refrigirator isn't a super loss and never even seen FBI raids so. I really liked the backpacks so I hope they can come back some day.

Hey all just an announcement.. Really didn't want this happening but I'm struggling to salvage our red phone and mission board as our last working C# dependent items.

Things that will have to be removed:
- Refrigirator
- Radio
- FBI Raids
- Backpack functionality
- Apparel staying one color

I'm hoping the radio returns one day but the fridge is gone due to the coding just being seriously broke and outdated, FBI raids were already not 100% at 1.0 but 1.1 puts nail in the coffin. I'll try to make sure we at least have our missions and reinforcements stay cause that's more important to me than most other features here sadly disappearing.

@RavnosFX - Hi, I appreciate the offer very much but unfortunately not all problems can be fixed with money. I do not believe it will be much help in this situation, I'd rather you spend yours on something you need or to give to someone else in need.
