It's really pretty, only I can't see naval zones with this on, whilst you can with the default map. Is there an easy way for me to remove the water part of this?

@Steelchill Oh yes, they are in the mod! If you mean in which folder, they are in /gfx/fonts and /map/terrain, respectively.

@Duck @Angelic_Burrito Thanks guys, I deleted those files but somehow the outline still remains. I appreciate the help because this mod is the pinnacle of eu4 map mods, me and my homies still all run duckmap with anbennar tho it's worth it even with the outline.

Thanks @Angelic Burrito for identifying the problem for Jaeke! For some reason I still can't get my local mod (the one in Documents) to work on my client. I have probably messed up some files at some point in time and ruined the local build; I'll try to download it from Steam and copy that into the local files.

@Jaeke — Delete the 5 "colormap_x.dds" files in 'map/terrain/'. The "colormap_water.dds" one specifically is probably causing the outline of the European coast on the land.
I'd recommend backing up the mod folder beforehand, though, in case you still want to use this full mod with vanilla or with some other mods that DON'T change the map.

@GenbUsami After playing with vanilla graphics for a while and coming back to this mod, I agree that the original stripes of Theatrum Orbis Terrarum are quite hard to spot - especially rebels and not-yet-cored state provinces. I will try to adjust them if I have time.

I love this map overhaul mod, but I have one issue. I find that the rebel controlled provinces are a bit tricky to spot especially with dark coloured nations. It would be much easier to spot rebel controlled provinces if the stripes were a bit more dark.

Ah gotcha. Looking at the dds files within, the "-" prefixed folders seem to be identical copies. I haven't binary-compared them or looked at every one in game, though, just visually checked the dds files.
They are indeed optional assets, btw.

I should also say I've been using this map pack for hundreds of hours now. Dark blue water and white font is *chef's kiss*

@Angelic Burrito I simply copied the border folder from the old Theatrum Orbis Terrarum mod. I have no idea why the folder was so cluttered, but I didn't touch it because I figured I might delete some used assets.

You should mention in the description that the border texture can also be changed!
And why are there 2 of every border style provided? For example I have folders "ornament dark" and "-ornament dark", etc.

@KsH I am an idiot, I fixed the mod for 1.30 but from the folder where I kept a version patched for another mod by removing some graphical assets. I am uploading the correct one. I have no idea what you mean by the physical map looking low res and yellowish though, can you send me a screenshot?

Oh yeah, forgot about that. They also changed the UI so the shields/top bar is a work in progress because leaving the files in the mod causes a CTD on savegame loading. If I can manage to make it work I'll update, but I'm afraid it's gonna take a while :(

That did the trick, thanks. One question (first time loading) the physical map from GMI, its a little low res and coloured with a yellowish tint, also the COA (shields look vanilla, unlike your pics) I asssume thats WAD?

Ah, thank you @JGdaJoker, I think I got it. They must have added some icons, and now the mod looks for icons in the wrong intervals along the image. Fixing now

Hey Duck, thanks so much for this mod!! Loving it. It's crashing recently, apparently the mod requires 1.29.5.0 (i.e. not updated), but seeing how active you are and your last comment below, I doubt that's actually the case. Any idea how I could fix that?
