Love this mod! The mirrors kill FPS though, any workarounds?

Do we know if anyone has used the sound files from this mod in the real Grand Prix Legends? I'd love to get these sounds into GPL. Is it possible?
borororo 29 May, 2020 @ 5:45am
@stilz: Ok, I understand. :) Mod is great, thank you!

@borororo:
hi, the F1LR 2.0 cars are about imaginary cars, just inspired by the real F1 historics. we have a F1LR Grabham BT20 in the mod. we do not have any Brabham BT20 in the mod ;)
hpgklo@gmail.com. 5 May, 2020 @ 10:00pm
this is cool
borororo 14 Apr, 2020 @ 3:15pm
Hmm, I found that yours BT20 and S397's BT20 too different visually. Who is right, you or s397?
fjgpguadalupe4 13 Mar, 2020 @ 5:08pm
Uffffff. Wow I have testing this right now. Amazing cars, amazing sound, amazing feellings. One of the bests mod that i have testing ever. Thanks, thanks, thanks, super thanks!
D.julien 24 Jan, 2020 @ 4:38am
@stilz ok thanks U
stilz  [author] 20 Jan, 2020 @ 3:58am
@D.julien: this mod is not designed to be end-user customisable. thats the reason why no paint kit is released. there is no plan to release F1LR2 skin templates, basically to avoid of all the user made crazy paint schemes. if the user really need more then the currently available 20 vehicle skins, I would just recommend to repaint the car Nr. and driver name decals... with same/similar relevant fonts.
D.julien 16 Jan, 2020 @ 8:07am
can we have the templates ?
HarleyDavidsonfx 7 Jan, 2020 @ 9:48am
Thank you for the great mod.I started on Grand Prix Legends and many great memories are back.My face hurts from smiling so much.My wish list are the 65 mod,the 66 mod,the 67 sports car mod,the 1955 mod(All from GPL) and the 50's sports car mod from RF1. Thanks for preserving this great car racing history for future fans.
FabryTowers 23 Dec, 2019 @ 11:48am
@stilz I go down to barely 30 fps, while with other mods this doesn't happen... what could it be?
Thanks for your time
stilz  [author] 22 Dec, 2019 @ 1:56am
@Fabry Towers: this mod is not fps hungry, you can check hows other mod on the current track.
FabryTowers 21 Dec, 2019 @ 2:06pm
Physics are good, but I'm unable to race with AI in any circuit due to a huge fps drop.... is this a known issue? or am I missing something? Thanks for the great job done!
kemp916 17 Dec, 2019 @ 10:43am
Thanks for this!! Original GPL player here!
stilz  [author] 13 Dec, 2019 @ 12:14pm
@Keeper1st: this mod is not designed to be end-user customisable. thats also the reason why no paint kit is released ;)
Keeper1st 13 Dec, 2019 @ 10:18am
A simple update to do that would be appreciated: Change the names of the materials for the helmets and driver suits to "wchelmet" and "wcdriver" so that users can make their own. (Ideally, some other things like the cockpit/mirrors for the Hooper could be made into a "wcextra0" for example so they can be customized, or the wheels for the Beagle to "wcrims" so instead of choosing between black or white rims, a user can skin their own to make silver, gold, red -- whatever suits their scheme. That also would allow you to use one model instead of two for the black or white rims -- just include the appropriate {carname}rims.dds texture in the teams MAS.)
Mak80_ 12 Dec, 2019 @ 11:28am
Thanks for 1.02 update!

Much better, thanks for the quick fix !!

Very good Job Thanks!!!!:chequered::chequered:
stilz  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 10:50am
:) The F1LR physics is unique each vehicle type, close to a current real car as it gets... In another words, with F1LR the player should be able to drive something which, lets say, handles like a Lotus 49 and looks similar to Lotus 49... and this is called Britus 49 :)
Dunn Hill 8 Dec, 2019 @ 10:19am
OK! I got it. But they look very close to the originals. I noticed the wheelbase is identic for each car, but the physics are a bit different. Cheers!
stilz  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 9:39am
@Dun Hill: well, I have to note there is no real car license issue purpose to use for F1LR vehicles the imaginary names, the ground is the F1LR 2 cars simply are not the cars you are meaning. If you look closely you will notice there is many things different. Also the wheel base including suspensions is same for all F1LR cars. F1LR Britus 49 really cant be called Lotus 49, for example. Its a shame many people still dont get it, yet immediately starts to rename and repaint the F1LR stuff mod into "real" F1 1967 season mod, which is literally not allowed.
Dunn Hill 8 Dec, 2019 @ 9:32am
... jo a pozdravuj doma... ;-)
Dunn Hill 8 Dec, 2019 @ 9:21am
@stilz I don't disagree with your principles and i know about fictional carnames since rFactor 1, but i think your mod deserve the real names for such a great work. MAK corp Group C has real cars. I thought moders are allowed use real names, but nevermind... As you read... i like your mod !
Thomas J. Larsen 8 Dec, 2019 @ 8:15am
What a great mod. Thank you so much.
How come there is no "McLoren"? Will it come later?
stilz  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 7:59am
@Dun Hill: as maytimes described, F1LR is about vehicle mockups. Its like rFactor 2 Howston G4, it simply cant be called Lola T70.

If you disagree with the F1LR principle, please stay play GPL by Papyrus :)

Handy image about F1LR:

@John vd Geest: the buggy mirror mesh styles are fixed incl. a HUD mirror ratio fix and will come in some mod update ;)
Dunn Hill 8 Dec, 2019 @ 7:11am
Wow! The physics are nearly the same like in Sierra/Papyrus GPL, as i can remember. In the past i loved the Eagle and the Lotus most and it's the same right now! Thanx!
John vd Geest 8 Dec, 2019 @ 6:55am
I like the mod, but the virtual mirror is also pretty bad. Very poor quality and distorted.
For guys driving on the virtual mirror, that is a real turn off. Can that be fixed please?
Dunn Hill 8 Dec, 2019 @ 6:03am
This one could be a real masterpiece, but why the funny names? Maybe it's not 100% the real 1967 season, but who cares? GPL from Papyrus was the best sim in the late 90's and even they didn't have the original teamdata from 1967, so please replace the funny names.
stilz  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 4:09am
@Celadus: the buggy mirror mesh styles are fixed incl. a HUD mirror ratio fix and will come in some mod update ;)
Rodrrico 7 Dec, 2019 @ 10:52pm
Fair enough, great mod all the same. Thanks for sharing!
Celadus 7 Dec, 2019 @ 4:51am
Great! I was a big fan of GPL and couldn't be happier to be able to play it in rFactor 2. One problem I have is reversed mirrors (the right displays the left side and viceversa). Anyone have a clue how to fix it? Thanks
stilz  [author] 7 Dec, 2019 @ 2:39am
@Rodricco, Mac: "F1 LEGENDS RACING cars are not a 100% copy of the real F1 1967 cars, therefore they are using imaginary vehicle team and driver names."
Bryan Birtwell [SR4L] 6 Dec, 2019 @ 8:27pm
Yes!
Rodrrico 6 Dec, 2019 @ 7:45pm
Why different names?
Olivier Lapierre 6 Dec, 2019 @ 9:31am
great
Velocita 6 Dec, 2019 @ 7:27am
Could have just used the IRL names...
fred64 6 Dec, 2019 @ 12:44am
Thank you !!! Very good mod!!!
