Thanks!
1) You are correct with the renaming process, I just wanted to make it as easy to understand as possible.
2) The MP3 files are from the CCP Soundcloud Profile and was converted to OGG with audacity. (my headphones are just ordinary Razer Opus THX Certified ANC Headphones)
If you tell me what problem exactly you hearing, I am happy to Update the mod!
1) data/music/combat and data/music/menu work differently than the others, and the game will simply play whatever's in the folder. The author mentions removing the files from the combat (you can just rename the folder to combat folder itself), but you'll need to actually put the ogg file in the mod's menu folder into the actual one (and rename title.ogg to title.bak or whatever).
But other than that, this is a GREAT mod. It works. The track choices are reasonable. And the mod is easily customized (adding/removing tracks) via text editing.
for the battle music to work, you need to delete the original one from avorion, otherwise the game ignores the new ones most of the time (not much i can do about it)
we are not poor, we are rich! We build our own ships instead of flying around with off-the-shelf products!
Does it add the music or replace the original one ? Thanks
had made up a complete new lua file from the original of Avorion, whatever was wrong have to be fine by now
for some reason the title and battlemusic isn't playing at the moment without a manual copy of the files to the Avorion directory, i have no idea why, but i will come back to it in the future
The 690 <eof> end of page error was due to the , at the end of (oldTrackType,
should be (oldTrackType)
But then more errors pop up in other lines.
Error while adding "data/scripts/lib/music.lua":
data/scripts/lib/music.lua:690: unexpected symbol near <eof>
i took your changes after testing a little bit. I realy dont know why at all this happens to you, but to prevent others from the same problem i made an Update to the Mod!

coult not execute function "MusicCoordinator.onSectorChanged" in "data/scripts/player/client/musiccoordinator.lua":

I tried to correct it but i didn't successed yet.
Just curious, would a second music mod be able to work together with the first? Could they share the playlist?
And... what if I add the songs myself, to the music folder as .ogg. Would I have to do anything else for them to be included?
You don't sound ungrateful and I fully understand your desire.
It is certainly possible to add more tracks to the list. But I only used the ones I personally like.
Those that have been around for many years, the most since the beta of EVE.
Maybe I'll create a second MOD with the newer tracks. But at the moment I don't have time to do that. In my case, Corona does not contribute to more leisure time..... not even in a shutdown sitation.
This however gave the game a very nice feel. I played eve for 8 years, so nice nostalgia.
But in fear of sounding ungrateful....
Could you increase the amount of tracks? I know theres many more to choose from.
with EVE there are no such problems
-first of all CCP is a nice Comany that had released there tracks as mp3 on the internet themselfs
-secondly Enix (or now Square Enix) tend do be a bit more selfish when it comes to there work of art
-and last but not least, i dont own a coyp of the music at all
but if you communicate with square enix and get permission to do so and get me a copy of the music files, then i will gladly invest my time and make a Star Ocean Music mod
