The European Union and the Pan-Asian Coalition are military alliances of nations in the universe of Battlefield 2142 that are both named after the continents they're located in. Their political borders do not correspond to the geographical borders between Europe and Asia itself. The Russian Federation is a member of the Pan-Asian Coalition, and as a result, European Russia and the city of Moscow are territories of the Pan-Asian Coalition. I'm pretty sure the United States is a member state of the European Union too in this universe, and that means that their territory in North America is also part of the political alliance.

Also, if it bugs you, Civilization V has a feature that allows you to rename Cities. You can always rename a city to Moscow when playing as the European Union. Or...you could conquer Moscow from the Pan-Asian Coalition. :D

European Russia and Moscow may be part of the continent of Europe, but the Russian Federation is not a member of the European Union - therefore, no Moscow.

I hope you have fun :D

You should know though, that there is actually a thing called "Start Bias" in this game, making certain Civs more likely to start in certain terrain regions. Russia for example, has a tundra bias.

I gave the European Union and the Pan-Asian Coalition a Tundra start bias, so it's really not a matter of luck. If you're playing as either of the Battlefield 2142 nations, (and you don't have start bias turned off, because there's an option to disable it,) you WILL spawn in the tundra, nine times out of ten.

Oh and also, no it's not included in the mod anywhere. Again, it's just any old Continents map that I randomly generated and decided to save and use for the development of the mods. It's got a pretty large arctic region in the south, which is the reason why I saved it.

The "Battlefield 2142 map" shown above is just any old Continents map that I randomly generated and decided to save and then use while making this mod. You can see its landmass map in the fourth picture. I can still find a way to get it for you if you want, but generally I'd recommend an Ice Age map for the 2142 Civs, since they're arctic nations designed for arctic warfare. Otherwise, on other maps you can probably set the sea levels to low and the temperature to cold to try and get larger snow regions in the north and south.

Best of luck and I hope you enjoy the mod.

This mod looks awesome and I want to get started playing, however is the map depicted as above Battlefield2142 map generated within the mod if so I can't find it. Perhaps you have a suggestion as to which map would be ideal. Thanks for the good work!

Yeah. I'd easily take Battlefield 2142 or Battlefield 2 over the modern ones any day.
