Every time.
Im mainly using them for spot cooling little things and materials and I launch a rocket and boom they all stop working until I stop the game and relaunch the game. And this is base game, not Spaced Out.
From my limited testing so far, this mod does still seem to work in the latest public build (and with the Spaced Out DLC enabled). I've not encountered any error or warning. And each generator does produce power.
* The "Naptha Generator" produces 850 watts, 40g/s carbon dioxide and 9kDTU heat while (I think) consuming 100g/s of oxygen and 1000g/s Naptha.
Note: I'm disappointed that it does not have a vent pipe output for the carbon dioxide (unlike the "Eco-friendly Natural Gas generator".)
* The "Eco-friendly Natural Gas generator" produces 1000 watts, 70g/s Water, 30g/s CO2 and 6kDTU heat while (I think) consuming 100g/s Natural Gas, 100g/s Oxygen and 70g/s filter medium (aka, Sand).
* The "Refined Carbon Generator" produces 1200 watts, 20g/s CO2 and 4 kDTU heat while (I think) consuming 1000g/s Refined Carbon. Also disappointed that this does not have a CO2 output pipe.

This is just a crashlog my game's outputting (I haven't force-updated the mod yet). Idk if this was fixed in the current patch yet.

Kiln recipe.
You can get refined carbon by performing the craft within a regular ol' Kiln. I think it took some coal and....limestone or some other resource? Idk, I haven't played in some time.
I find it's able to keep a balanced cooling effect for medium to large-scale insulated power generation, oxygen and materials production rooms. You can also-use it to counter overheating temperatures when near a hot energy/resource source (i.e.: volcanos, geysers, vents). If you are able to run automation, you can specify temperature minimums for specific types of rooms. Keep in-mind that the ThermoElectric Generator affects ambient temperatures above all-else rather than direct cooling. However, a little trick to getting extra power is to have a heat source underneath with metal, insulated tiles and then a moderately-high temperature capacity liquid directly-on the same tiles as the TE Gen as a method of keeping it running for electricity.
This goes well if you're able to pull CO2 from a combustion-type generator's room and transform it into O2. I happened to suggest a control slider for this generator several months ago but it was never added unfortunately.
I believe you should lower the power output of it, and its cooling effect. Perhaps make a config setting so we can set those settings up the way we like. It looks like your generator produces 256w too, where your post here says 250. :P Not sure if thats related to another mod or what though.
I'd say it should probably have a -12kDTU, and output 25-30w, maybe a bit more. But thats just my thoughts on that.

Try using other metals!! We did a patch a while-back that modified maximum thermal limits, thermal exchange, and idk about minimums but you can experiment!
