I get a "No world with name stuartisland..." error. How can I fix it?

@Pawel I know this comment chain is longer than life, but I think I have answered this a few times. TLDR: Sadly, no it's not possible due to legal problems.

This comes down to what the company producing CF Tools requires for a map to be included. I've licensed this map under the MIT License to allow anyone to use the map for free in any way they want.

To quote the CFTools terms:
(3) You have not and will not grant any other licenses to any entity - that is competing with us - for any content subject to this license.

Sadly these two licenses contradict with each other, as CFTools wants exclusive license to all content they use, which is legally not possible. I have contacted them regarding this, and tried my best to explain how copyright works, but I assume their attorney told them to stick to the terms. I make my projects for fun (believe it or not), and I do this to help others by giving them a free open-source example, so yell at me if you ever see me sell out. Sorry!

Hey um, it's my first time making a DayZ server for me and my friends and I'm struggling to set up the map, i put everything in the mpmissions folder in DayZServer and followed countless YouTube tutorials but there seems to be missing crucial .map files and other code from the mod folder, i couldn't get it to work from using the source code either from gitlab, so I'm wondering how do i actually download the map cause the folder is only a few kilobytes for me with only stuff like init.c and economy.xml

I don't have any at hand, but there are various tutorials out there that you should be able to find through Google, both in video and text format :)

<3 <3 My intention with Stuart Island has always been first to show people how to do mapping by directly allowing them to see a fully formed terrain in their own development tools, and continuing my devotement to the open source community. The second intention to produce a playable map was always secondary, but I've never been as positively surprised as when I saw people adopting the map and playing it as is. What has been the most heartwarming has been seeing many players have impactful and emotional moments on the map within various communities, which have adapted the map to their own needs through editing the source files. Anyways, thank you for the great feedback, it warms my cold heart <3 <3

You should look for the Chernarus Plus files and adapt them over to this map. I believe I used a multiplier based on the amount of loot spawns roughly when compared between the maps. Maybe I did it using the object count, but I think it was a very small multiplier, something like 0.1. The files are available on gitlab, https://gitlab.com/kerkkoh/stuartisland/-/tree/master/ce as they are packed into the ce.pbo to be directly included in your mission folder, without you needing to put any files there.
Clearly at this point in the lifecycle it is a rather bad thing, as this map is no longer actively updated.
However, I encourage any interested developers to fork their own version of the map (source files on gitlab) and start making their own version of this with everything up to date. If your version is good looking, I could even update this mod with your version.

Hi there! Managed to run the server and all, but when I look into the mission folder I don't see any xml files, except for the economy one in /db. Am I missing something? Can't find a cfgplayerspawnpoints.xml for example. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm new to DayZ server hosting.

That's a shame. I'll probably have to shut my Stuart Island server down as it's very difficult to manage without CFTools.

Is there any chance of making this map compatible with Gamelabs/CFTools? The level of manageability I am lacking without it is significant :C

Yes the XMLs in the map files are very old, please craft your own ones. If anyone has some reasonable XML files, send them to me and I may update this.

For future reference, CFTools is not willing to allow the usage of Stuart Island with their tools without me signing some questionable legal documents, the contents of which sadly do not align with the MIT License under which Stuart Island is distributed. So, no, you can't use Stuart Island with CFTools' services, but this is not up to me, as everyone can freely use the map and its source under the MIT License, but rather up to whoever's running CFTools.

Ok, so update, i have contacted them and expressed this to them, they responded about this with following "For adding community content to our platform, we require explicit consent by the author. For this reason, they should reach out to us. Please note, that once we have obtained a license agreement, implementation or integration depends on internal factors and is not always guaranteed." I copied your reply and a link to this page to them in a reply and also asked them for how they would like the contact in case they have just a email address they can send. As said on this workshop page, and on the gitlab page, the map and its source is fully available under the MIT License, which is a very simple license only requiring attribution (wherever the source is used), and giving you the freedom to use the map as you wish. You can repack it however you want to, you can edit it however you want to and you certainly use it in conjunction with admin tools however you want to. Thus I see no reason why gamelabs or anyone else couldn't support the map for legal reasons. I believe it's better for you to contact them and ask for them to add support for the map. If I had to guess it's only a matter of them adding it in and doing a bit of extra work, and not a legal issue.

Hello Kerkkoh, been hosting this map for awhile now and looking at getting gamelabs setup, when i link it tells me this "Unsupported map
Sorry, stuartisland is not supported. This may be for legal reasons or that we do not have the permission of the map author to use it.
You may contact community map authors, in order to get their map on our platform." any chance we can get you in contact with them and get this going as its a good admin tool without direct involvement. Thanks for your awesome little creation!
