Thanks for sharing this Irishman240; sorry about your loss of Andy. Have been going through lymphoma this year with one of my cats, Remus, who is larger than life, a bit like Andy. Was never a cat person until my husband brought the first one home when we were just dating, and they truly are amazing creatures. Hope this Christmas season is kind to you, and you smile more than cry thinking of Andy.

On July 1st 2019, The vet found a mass in his lower abdomen, and the blood work showed that he’d gone into total kidney failure. Andy’s condition had decreased over the weekend, and we had to make a difficult decision.
I love Andy so much, and didn’t want him to be in pain. Today we had to choose to say goodbye and make sure he was no longer in pain.
Andy was the best cat I ever had. He was far from perfect, and the biggest trouble maker on the planet, but the only cat that has ever come close to being as weird as I am. Not to mention his phantom limb was the greatest thing to ever witness, and only once did he ever catch himself on fire. He was a handful, he knew he was a handful, but also knew that he was worth it.
Just short of eight years ago I brought him home (7years and 11 months) and just short of his 10th birthday, we had to say goodbye. There will never be a cat that comes close to you Andy, I wouldn’t want it any other way.
