@Bazoopa just letting you all know it is almost done but we've run into a snag. For some reason none of the machine portrait are working. we have all organics good to go but yeah we've been stuck on it all week. Cant make the machines look right their heads are all missing.

Did anyone found how to make this work for the current game version ? I did the notepad edit from darkdescent comment but only warframe emblem spawn there is no species to be found, or does it require a DLC I don't have ?

Ah I was "the reddit guy", sorry, I asked Ranger for help on Reddit since they had done some work previously updating mods like this and I wanted their help doing that for this mod for my own personal use. :) I think they might have thought I was you, sorry!

@Ranger: hey I don't know what the fuck reddit guy you are (sorry!) but uhh I am very lazy! I originally intended to update the mod when Stellaris is done pushing out updates so I wouldn't have to do it as well? But they still, years later, do. Scary! The problem I have is that if I were to come back to the mod, not only would it be extremely out of date with what concerns the Warframe lore (which, well, wtf) but I would also be compelled to re-do most of the texture because they look super terrible to me in hindsight.

tl;dr: people who want to use the mod just tweak a couple values locally when playing it. I can't guarantee an "official" update to it.

This is definitely the best WF mod out there. I would really love an update. :) Maybe you could try implementing what Dark_Traveller mentioned below as a quick and dirty fix?

Do hope you eventually come back to this someday. The missing heads on some and floating ghost wigs on others is very distracting.

At least some of the shipsets already look like they fit the themes of the factions. Like the Arthropoid ones fit the Grineer, Molluscoid fits the Orokin, Mammalian or Reptilian either could work for the Corpus, etc. So not making a new shipset isn't too big of an issue. Though modding a set, on the other hand? I feel like the Grineer could use a combination shipset with mostly Arthropoid stuff, and some of their stations replaced with Pirate stations, seeing as the Grineer also build a lot of their stations into ateroids, like seen in the Pirate shipset.

Found an easy fix for the problem, unsure how it really holds up. If you go to steam\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\1937879340\gfx\portraits\portraits
it will bring you to a list of files like warframe_portrait and orokin_portrait. Open those up in a notepad and look for hair_selector and replace it with attachment_selector. Do this to all of them and it seems to fix it.

Thats fair, when developers change base things like that its super hard to fix. I understand not even wanting to go near it lol whenever you can though I would be really thankful the corpus fill a supercorp niche in stellaris I find really hard to replace

I know: problem is, most species were based on the human meshes, so when Paradox updated/changed those, lots of things in the mods broke. Haven't convinced myself to try go fixing it yet: haven't even really looked into whether it's even possible, too spooked

Since the update got us some new portraits, it scrabooshed the portraits-mods

I rly hope that it will get an update soon, at least by me...

Hi me, would you be ok if I included this mod in my patch that condenses all portraits mods in vanilla's species_classes? Your mod would be a requirement for my patch and users would have to subscribe to your mod. hey so when using these portraits, AI empires might appear with no names. That's because it doesn't generate names of starting sun and planet when creating an empire. So for example if it wants to pick the name of the starting sun or the planet in the name of the empire, it can't because it isn't generated. I hope you can fix it if you still work on this mod sometimes

@MoonlightSkye: nope, no plans for that right now: Steel Meridian and Perrin were already kind of a stretch but they were feasible since I just slapped them on to of Grineer/Corpus, respectively. The other syndicates would basically have just one appearance option for male, one for female, with the Arbiters not having even that.

Do you have any plans on potentially ever adding the remaining syndicates? New Loka, Red Veil, and Arbiters of Hexis? I know they are kinda just human but they have specific outfits and stuff that make them unique enough to have their own portraits, I think.

@Grendain: Will do, most likely over the weekend, though the mod should be fine unless you use the portraits (or rather, namelists) for Necrophages. Even then the effect should be merely some empty names.
