If you drive cars well, and utilise fast travel options, it really doesn't take even close to 20 minutes to travel from A to B.
Familiarise yourself with all travel mechanics before you complain about the travel length.
Only fault is it's almost impossible to use the gamemode in your own scenarios. Far too complex.
Barring that, would recommend any day.
"Here's a double barrel, now go steal explosives and blow up a building while crawling through a sea of cops and CSAT. You don't need any armor or support. Behold our realism."
Old man & Antistasi devs should work together to release more official content, i'm pretty sure it would be so good that it would give inspirations for server owners to create game modes like that.
SOME mods (such as mine) CAN be updated with no issues to old saves. Most can not.
:)
To my knowledge, there is nothing that you can do to correct/fix this.
This has been a 'thing' in ARMA since A3 came out. I do not remember if it was an issue in the older ARMA's. Most likely it was.
So, sadly, there is nothing you can do but restart.
:(
I am glad you got it going though, I think you will enjoy it!
:)
I do use mods (most common ones) and I have no issues with this mod/mission at all.
Try with NO mods, then verify your ARMA files.
This is about the only thing I think any of us could offer you to assist with your problem(s).
:)
TextCrawler is a perfect program for this.
Then, once in game, open the console and type in the new variable, save, reload. That most likely will take care of that.

This small mod will allow you to join a group, then take command of it as well as step down/leave group.
Good luck on finding it!
This SHOULD do the trick for ya!
:)
PS - I found it! Woo hoo! I have looked before and never found it. Get it here: https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/145179-group-management-script/
:)
Really?
Sorry, none of us are mind readers and we can NOT help you until you provide the above.
No one could.
Sorry!
:(
Way too much work and effort for NO MONEY!
;)
Hope you got them to work for you and fixed your problem!
