If you save it as a Dupe it is permanent. I've tested it on different maps, then closing and reopening the game, then on a server. It worked every time, I haven't tried it with other people if they can read it also yet. I'll test that soon.
The only difficulty is keeping track of which disk is which cus you can't name dupes.

I know this is a bit late, but I am not really into Garry's Mod addon development anymore. I do not believe there's a way to retain and keep the information on the disk, unfortunately. I'm sorry that I can't be of much help.

Unfortunately not. Doing so will just make it a new entity and all data for it would be basically R.I.P I'm not really sure about how I can go around trying to have it so it saves even as a perma propped entity.

I haven't really got any intention on editing this addon anyway.

Hack/repair kit won't be implemented. No point in the repair kit, since the terminal no longer takes damage, so it won't be broken. As for the hacking feature, I just haven't really got round to doing it.
