Hi Gr1m, I'm finishing a small addition/adjustment that allows the cars to carry mail instead of passengers. Its only for my personal use, but if you'd like, I'd be happy to send the completed adjustments to you. Its 99.9999999% you and 0.0000001% me. It's up to you bud, otherwise I'll just keep it to myself as a personal customization.

quick update to fix the availability date of the assets, and reduced some redundant files, reducing the overall file size significantly.

UPDATE: Re-did the assets menus to reduce clutter, as well as some minor mesh fixes and tweaking files.

I also combed over every variant and redid the door placement to that they should all be much more flush with the carriage.

UPDATE: Added some extra placement functionality. Assets will now be able to be tilted using the o,p,[, and ] keys.

UPDATE: I've slightly updated the textures and colouring. I thought the original texture looked a little dusty and washed out.

Also, BENCHES.

Yep, the carriages now have seats for passengers to sit on, not just float there.

Brilliant, Thankyou. Thankyou for these beautiful carriages, they feature on nearly all of my passenger lines on my UK Map.

Oh, and on the off-chance you want to change the capacity for the Single tone versions as well, you'll need to follow the same process, but for the files located in:
Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/1066780/1939655980/res/models/model/vehicle/waggon/
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [author] 26 Apr, 2020 @ 6:27pm
@Prediter: You should find the .mdl files in Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/1066780/1939656506/res/models/model/vehicle/waggon/

You'll need to open the .mdl files in notepad or something like that - Don't bother about changing the files with 'menu', they're just dummy entries for the group menus. Scroll down to the bottom of the file, you'll see something like:

cargoEntries = {
{
capacity = 88,
seats = { },
type = "PASSENGERS",
},

Just change the 88 (or whatever entry is next to capacity) to the number you desire, multiplied by 4. So if you want a passenger capacity of 20, the capacity line should be 'capacity = 80,'

Don't forget the comma at the end either.

Hope that helps!

I love using these but I really want to change the capacity of each car.. Where are the settings located for the passenger capacities?

Just so you know, the early bogie rear brake for both the single and dual tone pack is incorrectly described as a front brake.

Also, a small detail, but most old British coaches I've seen have black painted ends rather than wood as well.

I'm glad! It was a stupid mistake on my part, one of the glass textures wasn't the right resolution. :P Enjoy!
LordSarnoc 21 Dec, 2019 @ 3:39pm
@Gr1m, fixed it for me - now I'm up to the point where I need some more modern rolling stock!

Thanks a lot!

Whoops, I gave you the id for TpF1 instead of 2 by accident. Glad you found it though!

I've got a suspicion of what it might be, so I'm pushing an update through now. Can you try this for me:

1. Make sure TpF2 is closed.
2. go to: Steam\userdata\{your Steam-ID}\1066780\local\ texture_cache\res\
3. delete all files in the folder
4. Play TpF2 Fever! (Hopefully)

It might be worth uninstalling and reinstalling my mods as well to force all of the textures to be flushed, just to be safe.

@Gr1m

I've now checked with only your loco and carriage mods switched on (and no money), and get the following in stdout:

c:\build\tpf2_steam\src\lib\renderer\tex_load.cpp:552: int __cdecl `anonymous-namespace'::CompInternalSize(unsigned int,int,int,int,int): Assertion `false' failed.
MinidumpCallback: dumpPath "D:/Programs/Steam/userdata/92814438/1066780/local/crash_dump/", minidumpId "c636f117-1cbf-4515-9b6f-6a6fbd220d0e", succeeded 1

I have the same problem and turning the graphical settings up seems like it has fixed the issue
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [author] 19 Dec, 2019 @ 11:43pm
@LordSamoc: Thanks for letting me know tthat you're having the issue too! If you and/or @_THEPodge could check your error logs it might help - have a look at
<Steam install directory>\userdata\<YOUR STEAM ID>\446800\local\crash_dump\stdout.txt and see what the last few lines say?

I really appreciate any and all help with this, since I still can't replicate the issue.
LordSarnoc 19 Dec, 2019 @ 11:35pm
Hi Gr1m, I’ve got the same problem as _THEPodge; with your locomotives and carriages mod selected, I can’t assign a train to a line without the game crashing. This occurs regardless of which train/carriages I select. Turn off the loco and carriage mods and everything works again. I’ve got all the birtish themed stuff on the workshop installed. I’m going to test in depth later to see if I can pinpoint what the conflict is as I didn’t have time last night. I’ll let you know what I find
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [author] 19 Dec, 2019 @ 8:49pm
Okay, so I've updated this mod and the other variant of it, so between that and the patch all the doors should work properly now.
Maybe.
Hopefully.
*cough*

@_THEPodge: I've tried to replicate the issue, but still no luck. It's completely stable on my end even with the forced reverse mods and stuff, so I can only assume its a weird incompatability with one of the other mods. You could try unloading mods bit by bit and trying to see if removing certain mods allow it to work, but I understand that that's a lot of fiddling around on your end and you might not be willing to do that. I'll keep trying, but for now I'm kind of stumped as to what's causing that issue for you. Really sorry I can't be of more help =/
_THEpodge 19 Dec, 2019 @ 6:47am
@Gr1m

I have the reverse all mod enabled also..
_THEpodge 19 Dec, 2019 @ 6:18am
@Gr1m

As per my comment really, i had purchased the carriages (1850s). Purchased front brake, 1st class, 3rd class, rear brake only, tried various different combos, 1 of each, 2 of each, 1 of that 3 of that one etc.. It lets me purchased the train fine, just crashes when i select the line.

Yes i have other mods enabled. Which at first though might be crashing it (modded train with a modded carriage etc). But it was also doing it with the standard/default trains in game.
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [author] 19 Dec, 2019 @ 5:29am
So just as a heads up, but there's an animation issue with this mod at the moment that I'm currently aware of. I'll try and push through a patch tomorrow, but its already pretty late here so I won't be able to get it done tonight, unfortunately.

@_THEPodge: I tried to make the game crash with this mod, but haven't had any luck so far. Can you give me more information on what you were doing at the time, other mods you were using etc?
_THEpodge 19 Dec, 2019 @ 4:19am
Looks good. However it causes my game to crash.
Only happens when trying to assign to the line..
Oldhip 18 Dec, 2019 @ 2:29pm
thumbs up again

Nice. Good to see you're getting so many ported.

Nice, thanks for posting. Appreciate your hard work.
SpecialistZer0 18 Dec, 2019 @ 8:39am
@Gr1m Nice, Thank you.
