Do you know if this is able to be converted for console version?

That bridge looks very nice and I missed it a lot in the game. But if I remember correctly, this bridge had speed limit of 60 km/h in TF1. And I think a lower speed limit is more realistic for this type of bridge.

@Mad Hatter - I guessing that the game sets up the bridge upper part in two halves with a void where the roadbed/tracks will go and does a quick and dirty fill with pillars etc beneath the void. At least, that is what I surmised from trying to alter the roadbed. I am not too proud to say that figuring out the eleven or more moving parts that seem to make a street in TPF2 about broke my head. Crawling through the contents of the Models.zip in the game folder gave me some idea of how much work was in front of me if I want to make a "wooden road with running boards for tyres" to match the wooden bridges you have provided. So, God bless you, Sir, I now know why you went mad.

The bridges look fine.. HOWEVER... Can you adjust the mod and create them "pillar-less" so we can place the pillars manually instead?

Can you fix the textures, theyre really messed up. I love this mod, and use these bridges as my main bridges in the early game, but the textures are really messed up and its sort of annoying.

Is it possible to make similiary looking wooden bridge for rail tracks?
Moofrog 22 Dec, 2019 @ 7:52am
@mad hatter: Could I sway you somehow to also port/convert the wooden street type bridge over from TPF1? As I like the look really for roads and this one I like for trains(and roller coasters) :3 Only if its not too much hassle.

You really seem to have a hang for it. Once I get around to put the time in I want to recreate some bridges I know from where I live and the coding part would be nice to learn. I will take your mod as example. :)

PS: Happy Holidays :)

Nice, I was waiting for this since release. Will really fit my old western themed maps.

Great Mod thanks!
For Bridges there was a Steel Bridge for Trains in TPF 1, that wasn't ported.

Hi Paranoid Android - I think this was the only vanilla bridge that urban games didn't port. As far bridges that other moders made for TPF1. Yes it will be a pain for them to port them. I'm sure they will get round to it.

Thx for putting in the time and effort. I would not have known where to start or how to script or model or convert anything :D
So I guess its gonna be a similar pain to convert the other bridge types as well? :o

Magic, thanks heaps.

Thank you for taking the time to port this over. I was really missing this bridge when playing on the desert maps.

Thank you! Now we start to get somewhere.

I also appreciate your hard work in converting this for TPF2 - the lack of bridge variety is woeful and will hopefully improve as people create/convert more mods. I've looked at converting some TPF1 ones for my own use, just to see how it works and - sheesh! I haven't got enough time or skills for that! Respect.

Hi donmiwi - Urban games have done a wonderful job of rewriting the code that allows a bridge model to be automatically adjusted depending on what they are spanning. But that means tthat the TPF1 bridge models wont work out of the box and all the scripts need tweeking to make them work and to do that I needed to do a lot of detective work.

Thank you for enduring the pain! One my my few complaints with the sequel is the complete lack of bridge variety. I appreciate this.

I for one, am grateful that you brought these to TF-2. Thanks for the early Christmas present. Fave/SubRated.:santa_emo::Gifted:

Not understandable why the bridge was not taken over from its predecessor by the devs.
Anyway thanks !
donmiwi 19 Dec, 2019 @ 7:28am
what was the pain ?

Thank you.
